ok, i am rerolling from a horde server (was a rogue/lock) to play with my brother. I'm gona go Warrior, but im trying to decide between Dreani and night elf. Dreani have the HoT racial that will come in handy. Night elf have shadowmeld which from my expirence can be quite usefull in arena, and BG's as flag guarder etc.. So im just gonna run a pole. Whatever wins is what ima go.

draenei for pve. more +hit and a self heal every 3 minutes = win.

night elf for world pvp/bgs. shadowmeld is awesome used right, and is one of the best camping tools in game.

gnome for arena. if you want to be as best as you can be in arena, its gnome or go home (pardon the cliche). escape artist wins in arena, hands down. GotN and shadowmeld are both ok in arena, but being able to break a key root or snare means the difference between winning and losing. trust me, im a nelf warrior, and i can think of no less than a dozen specific times when having EA would have meant a win instead of a loss, and im sure there are dozens of others i cant remember.

especially now that you can see all buffs on an opponent, having meld isnt a big help, since theyll know the stealthed person is a warrior due to our shout buff.

Well i dont wanna go gnome for the reason being i was on horde for so long and i feel that gnomes are just "fun sized" sack of meat put in the game to be used for target practice or emergency food supply. And sry i cant spell Draenei correct, but atleast you understood what race i was talking about.

As has been said, between the two, Draenei is usually more PvE oriented and Night Elf is more PvP oriented. The +1% hit is nice in all situations, and the heal is nice soloing (its useless in raids, as casting means you cant block, dodge or parry, and it can get knocked back).

However, even so, if you can heal yourself every now and then in a BG (say, after you happen to survive a fight or something), its nice. However, the +1% dodge that a Night Elf has is also fairly nice for PvE.
