Tanking Hydross adds :: Free Realms

Hi!

I am one of the off-tanks that is supposed to tank the adds when they spawn. I wear a mix of Frost and Nature resist gear. I can get decent resist stats from my mostly green items (180 Nature and 169 Frost) at the same time. The problem is that my Defence drops to about 435. That makes me critable. However when I tanked them I never noticed me getting critted (not sure though).

Question #1: When tanking these adds that does "Frost/Nature melee damage" (whatever that means) is there a chance that their damage can crit on me? Or is it so that Frost/Nature melee damage never crits?

Question #2: Do these adds ONLY do frost and nature damage? If yes can I tank them wearing cloth (if no physical damage)?

Yes, the adds can (and eventually will) crit you. You can tank in cloth if you want, in theory, but with the available blacksmithed and jewelcrafted options available for you, there's not much need.

You need very little resist gear if any to OT the hydross adds. I would see how you do wih your normal tanking gear on, and if you don't like it, go back to the resist gear.
