So what about the riding skill? Is that included in the so called "free mount". If not the whole thing is a big hoax, since the riding skill is the main part of the cost for the other classes. I mean the mount is only 10g for all others, but it is the riding skill, which is 80g, where the real cost lies.

Yes, it includes Riding Skill.
Also, the mount is 9G and Training 81G at Honored (pre-2.3), and 8G and 72G at Exalted.

The 60 mount includes riding skill as well, but it still costs some gold to get...about 600 gold if you buy all mats and 250 less if you know someone with the final three mats. Still cheaper than buying the skill and epic ground mount though.
Actually, it isn't exactly free.......but hey, whats 50s?
lol u dont even have to buy the riding skill if u buy another mount i just bought my lock mount today and then bought a mechanostrider for fun

Normal mount is free, yes, totally, riding skill and all.
EPIC mount is NOT free. Depending on server it might even be more expensive than just buying an epic mount, plus the quest is impossible to do because noone does Scholo and even less DM.

Yeah, right! You just didn't read down far enough. Warlocks that will help YOU (Epic Mount)
Ahhh...free means "Zero" coin, so it's not free. your first Summon mount talent is about 50s. I got my epic about a month ago. No prob finding a party, and the quests were a kick.
