dude, i cant spec out of shadowstep.... i do it without thinking now.. ******* spec ruined my rogueness
but it did add +5 to flying ninja kicks and +10 to 3.3k+ evis crits
how bout you? feelin the same way too? too much fun to ever waste points anywhere else?

I can't ever be anything else. I don't know how I would live without Shadow step after trying it. It's just too useful: the only CD move other than kidney shot I am guaranteed to use on every fight.
I'm learning nice tricks too, like Shadowstepping then kicking or running away from a war and stepping just as he does intercept so we end up trading places lol.

dude wanna hear some tricks i use?
-in av, i step up to all the bowmen by the endboss guy, aggro ALL of them, evasion and the team charges up free n easy
-shadowstep with flag in wsg for free move speed.... shadowstep to the lone alli at midfield -> gouge -> sprint = hehe
-hunter goes bm? **** that, shadowstep someone away from him... now hes like 60 yards out haha, you lost your CD
-step to the top level of a wsg base fun fun
-step saps rule in heroics, even a warlock could do it
-start attacking a WE then when the mage tries to just use frostbolt, ninja kick his *** and thats some frost-free time :)
-step is the anti-death coil
-skip detector mobs in instances, skip areas of a instance that require you to run a lot longer to not avoid em (i use in strat, blink past undead detecters lol)

My favorite trick is jumping off the cliff at the LM in AB and ShS back up when the guy jumps after me lol. (thx demea, I've ninja capped the LM a bunch of times with that trick) Shs on a warrior when he intercepts is awesome too.

.....who would jump after you except a rogue? its almost certain death... and if not, they got like 10% hp and well... your a rogue at like half hp..... no class can win that, all cds or not (short of lay on hands)
I mostly use the trick on warriors, feral druids or other rogues... the ranged classes don't fall for it too much....

Yep, I wouldnt follow me either lol but you'd be surprised how many people it works on. Have either of you tried ShS while mounted??? Does it work? Just thought of that. Gonna try it when I get home.
dismounts you but yes... but then again, your mount is 100% speed... thats a silly waste of a cd haha

I respecced sub too, and I'm loving it. I was mainly using shadowstep to pop behind things and cheap shot them, but now I've been experimenting with using it as a damage booster. In BGs, it'd be premed, cheap shot, vanish(10% damage from stealth), shadowstep(20% damage), eviscerate.
Unfortunately right now I'm still using a sword for big hemo hits, but it'd be fun to use this in a dagger sub spec with ambush. gouge, vanish, shadowstep to behind, boomie. Sure you could go mutilate build, but then you wouldn't have shadowstep :P
Or maybe premed, cheap shot stab stab kidney shot, vanish, shadowstep, ambush, backstabbackstabbackstab

Damn you guys are making it sound so much fun, I still haven't given the new shadowstep a try. After 2.3 I continued with my mutilate build 41/0/20 and I'm having a blast in WSG camping other classes(except warriors, I'm not that good...yet).
Sigh, I hate you mongoosexcore, ever since I saw your tricks on anti-kite using ShS, I can't live without it now! :( It just so fun to play with, and mage/warlock/hunter can no longer keep me in distance.
