Everything, to me! I have been interested in rolling a druid for some time now, on the Alliance side. I have played one to level 16 before as a Horde alt, but abandoned it, as all my characters and resources lie with the Alliance. So now I must come up with a quality name for my soon to be Druid... My original thought, was Chameleon, but alas the name had been taken! So, Any idea's would be much appreciated!

If you want something druid-y, what I do is pull up the talent tree on wowhead.com and look at the terms in there..you'd be surprised whats not taken..
or go on some type of theasaurus website. Go for synonyms, type in shift (Or whatever name-type you want) And you'll get a list of similar words.

I can't think of any myself atm because I just woke up and I'm a total scrub.

i just started playing my druid, currently only lvl 10 and playing around in bear form. his name is Philler. i find its gonna get a few laughs, but it fits the class pretty well i believe. After reading the boards the Os and these i find that no matter what situation i come across ill be able to fill in the missing position, and hopfully with the changes of 2.3 Druids will be wanted even more in groups for the sole purpose of being a druid.

I wanted something elvish-sounding, so I went to a taxonomy (the naming of species) web site and started browsing. I can across Zalophus Californii, the California Sea Lion. I thought "Hmm, Zalophus sounds somewhat exotic, that'll do".

At that time I didn't even know about aquatic form, so imagine my surprise when I found out I could actually be a member of the Zalophus genus.

I play on an RP server and my Druid is Tauren..

I wanted something in a similar vein to how the NPC's in the game are named and for Tauren's this tends to be nature and native American sounding..

so I chose DuskRaven..

He's darkly coloured and thus the name makes sense.

It also has a large amount of extra background history and theory behind it but i'll not go into that and bore you all with it ;)

Thank god for good old fashion RP names =)

i hate all the ikillnoobs, yourmoma, droodz etc idiotic names out there.
Hate them.

I saw a dwarf last night called forthehorde, talk about not making sense.

I wish they had a naming policy, escpecially for the guilds.

/rant off

They do, it's just not enforced in the least, unless it's plain offensive.

My Druids name is Aldaran. It's sort of NE sounding plus happens to be named after something in one of the best movies ever (yeah - I'm an old geek).

My human warlock: Talarasiel. Why? because it popped into my head when I was making my character. It is really funny hearing people try to pronounce it on vent. They usually just end up calling me Tala.

So there's another thing. Whatever name you pick make sure you will be happy with the shortened version that other people will tend to adopt.

I named my Druid Kirijollith wich is from Dagonlance . The Basic discription of him I thought was fitting ( Tauren btw ) .

Kiri-Jolith is the god of glory, honor, obedience, justice, and righteous
warfare. Paladins and fighters who embrace good revere Kiri-Jolith. He is
the oldest son of Paladine and Mishakal, preceding his twin Habbakuk by mere
moments. Inspirational in forming the Knights of Solamnia, he is patron of
the Order of The Sword.

Kiri-Jolith is the god of War, but not one possessed by bloodlust and
needless violence. He represents righteous warfare, launched to right
grievous wrongs. Though his temper is not swift, it is sure when combat is
justified. He has a strong sense of honor and fair play.

Kiri-Jolith influences war, battle, courage, and heroism. His symbols are
bison's horns, or a horned battle axe. His priests wear brown and white.
He often takes the form of a Knight of Solamnia, resplendent in beautiful
plate armor. He often wields a Dragonlance. Occasionally he takes on the
form of an enormous minotaur wielding a battle axe

I'm crazy about names. I take forever to pick one, and it has to be just right. I've deleted characters and remade them exactly after leveling them for an hour or so because I decided I didn't like the name. It's really bad.

I named my druid Pangaea. It sounds good (to me at least) and it is the name given to the world way back when all the continents were fused together in one mega-continent. Not super druid-related but it at least has something to do with the Earth.

My Tauren Druids name is Udderfailure. For RP purposes I had a story about how he originally wanted to be a Warrior, but was caught using magic in his fights, so his horn was broken (obviously had the broken horn) and he was pushed into the Druidic school.

I like my name - Zephyrato
"Zephyr" (west wind or calm, gentle breeze) + "ato" (random ending probably from Latin)

I like to look up words in other languages (specifically Latin) for names, I used to jam letters on my keyboard and insert vowels in the resulting mess to produce a pronounceable word but I have not recently done so. Another neat idea for a name which I have not tried yet is having someone say something in a different WoW language (e.g. Taurahe) and use that as a name (make sure you trust the person that they won't say another word; then again the other word may sound fine).

Great tip! People call me Zep or Zeph....I'd prefer Zephyrato but no one cares.

My friend's character is Dumbtroll and he is always called Dumb. Now he is thinking of getting a name change.

Personally, I thought I would make a name that everytime someone saw it, they would break out laughing. I racked my brains for a long time, and also looked on here, and finally got it. Convertibull, perfect for tauren druid.

I always get a kick out of seeing Hoofhearted on our server.

Saw today in a BG a toon called Gnomosexual. No idea how that hasn't been reported and mad to be changed.

Convertibull, I like that. I went with Hokes for my new druid. It translates to Bark of a Tree. I'll give ya one guess what he's going to do once he hits 70.

Shifthappens.

I do get compliments in BGs and such *blush*

Forgot if I got the idea, or even the name from somebody in Allakhazam, if so, thank you ^_^
