I remembered reading last week in a thread on here that since 2.3 came out, using Feign Death could now remove you from being targetted (In PvP, it obviously has always done this in PvE unless resisted). I was curious and over the weekend spent some time in AV farming some honor and I can confirm now that it does remove you from being targetted. (If it has been previously confirmed in that thread, my bad, but I couldn't find it.)
I was up on one of the hills near SP GY picking off allies as they were ressing when I target a hunter and pull back a nice Aimed Shot for him. Right after it crits, he drops and I have no target. I'm pumped and about to yell "Head Shot", when he pops right back up and starts shooting back at me! After finishing him off, I found myself using this trick numerous times over the weekend with much success.
Do we know if this was an intentional change by Blizzard or due to the large number of changes with game mechanics in patch 2.3 it just slipped through? I have only been playing WoW for about a year or so now, but I vaguely remember Feign Death doing this when I first started playing my hunter. Either way, it DOES work this way now, so let's enjoy it while we can! And remember, when you see a hunter drop, RIGHT CLICK that corpse to be sure.
