2 days I managed to finally get a group through Heroic Sethekk Halls and get my Swift Flight Form, and I'm really at a loss for words for this. It is like getting the joy of getting Flight Form all over again!

One thing I can't help but chuckle at is the momentum you get flying. If you shift out while zooming forward, you actually continue forward in caster form like a run away cannonball from the Darkmoon Faire. Hitting the new insta-shift to go into bear with that, followed by Feral Charge, has coined the words "Bearpedo" and "Bearsle" rather than bear bomb with some of my friends :)

Also, hooray, I no longer have giant night elf ears in my bird form ;)

If you've been holding off on getting your Swift Flight, start saving now, it's worth every gold.

1800/5000g here, orz.

Still got plenty of quests to do though, not to mention picking up on some of these new dailies.

3000/5000 and no more quests to do (appart from some Dungeon quests). So my only hope are the dailies and auctioning trade goods :(

I made the last 2000 for mine by farming primal air on the Elemental Plateau. Yes, I know, overcamped, but if you keep at it you can find times when it's not. I usually check early morning, like 5 server (7 where I live), but I've also had surprisingly good luck at other times as well. If you get the place all to yourself you can usually get 3 or 4 primals in an hour.

I've heard a lot of people say they've never gotten a single mote up there, and the first couple of times I went it was pretty slow. Keep at it though, because it's quite variable. Sometimes you'll get nothing out of 5 or 6 kills, other times you'll get a full primal out of 5 or 6 kills.

I find that the air elementals are best for us ferals. They go down pretty quick without causing near as much damage as the fires. On my server primal air goes for 23 or 24 G.

I have the gold, but I can't get a group going on my server. It's depressing.

I too am having trouble mustering up the gold for flight form. I rarely get enough time to do the daily quests constantly since I am off farming the mats for various leatherworking recipes. I also dropped 500g on a Windscale Hood Pattern. I am now a Primal Nether and about 6 wind scales from having a very nice Moonkin headpiece. I also spent a decent chunk of time farming for the crafting of the Windhawk set. So my money and time have been going towards Primals of late. But I am only about 2.1k gold from it and hopefully soon that will not be as much of a problem.

Ah, the trouble with being a moonkin. My only gear upgrades now come from expensive crafting recipes or tier items if I ever get the time to raid consistenly. There is of course the PvP arena gear but I find I have trouble getting a group set up to do them. I still only have a 2v2 team with none of the other slots filled.

Imo, epic flyers are cool and all, but if you want to gear up, you have to choose one or the other. On my mage, I had about 3k gold, then I wanted to get my tailoring up, instead of farming for a couple weeks since I don't get on that much, I just bought the mats. It is tough to do both.

I got enough money just by doing all the quests in all zones. Since I dinged 70 with still 75% of the SMV and NS quests left, all that leftover XP was also converted to money so it went up fast. I think I got my epic flyer before I even got started on the dailies.

And, in my opinion, you can gear up just fine without investing so much money. Sure, you won't be clad in epics before even setting foot in Kara, but you'll still meet the requirements to get started in that place.

There are times I wish I had more money, but I always have 600-800 gold on me cause I don't buy much stuff and I only have to get the mats for my Eng flyer now, which I'm mining myself.

EDIT: Plus, that's with my Pally. I'm eager to see how nice it is for my Druid to save 1k gold for the basic flying training. Whoosh, gonna get the money so much faster.

If you do 10 daily quest each day, that alone will bring in 100g a day. That plus and alt who got to 70 in Blades Edge then did all the quests in Netherstorm & Shadowmoon Valley got me there.

I hate playing on my hunter - his mount seems to move in slow motion like permanently afflicted by the slow spell.

Something many people do not realize is how much an epic flyer actually increases your income. A.) Netherwing dailies open up. B.) Everything is done faster.

In the few days since I got it, I've made enough money for 12/14 of the primal nether for my epic elemental LW set. Getting the last 2 tonight!

As a random sidenote, does anyone else find Netherwing daily quests incredably long and tedious? Do fires over skettis, fly to BEM, pick up speed boost, etc and all the other quests fly by quick.

I think it takes me as long to do a single netherwing daily as it does to do every single skyguard/ogri'la daily. Drop rates are horrible, horrible things.

Netherwing was a bit of a pain. One thing I found with the "Bootarang" quest was that if you mount up on your Kodo you can use the Bootarang while mounted. Makes it much faster but you do have to watch out for the elite pats.

I skipped the poisoning the food daily & just handed the Netherwing Crystal one in every couple of days rather than farming them each day. The one where you have to kill the flying guys for "the not-so-friendly skies", you can sit just below the wooden take-off platform and they take off pretty often. If you kill each one it is very quick. If you let one though, you have to wait about 30sec or more for the next one but still quite quick.

Just do the easiest quests - it still doesn't take that long to get to exalted and get your free dragon. Then go do the easiest & quickest of the dailys to make up the 10. The bombing runs in particular are very easy with epic flight form.

I need to ask that y'all stop talking about swift flight form now, unless you are willing to loan me a couple thousand gold on Moonrunner.

Last night I pushed back my swift flight form a good bit by buying a Staff of Natural Fury in the AH for 1600g, cutting my flight savings in HALF. Ouch. The AP boost of nearly 300 (including +35 agility 'chant) and mana discount on shapeshifting were just too much to resist, especially now that I've started doing more arena and bgs, and since I'm forever away from Kara and a CHANCE at the Stranglestaff.

I had to take several deep breaths as I bought and then equipped it, but am confident it was the right thing to do. After all it's a game of gear-dependent combat with travel mixed in for getting to the next fight, right?

So no more talk about swift flight form, OK?
