Nearing 35Follow

As I close in on 35, I'm seriously doubting that I'm going to want to switch from my current Full-Ret spec and gearset. Having just got AoSanc, getting MASSIVE quads with my Corpsemaker with Fiery, and even without my shield I have by far the highest armor in the group (except for VWs and some Hunter Pets.)

In organized group I do switch to SnB, but the PuGs ive been doing have been so retarded that I've litterally been using 2hander because its easier to keep agro off these morons.

I was wondering how BIG of a difference Reckoning is going to make to swing me back to Prot? Would I want a fast weapon, slow weapon? Just go for DPS? And if I go Prot I damn sure am doing AE grinding cuz singles take three times longer than Ret, so with that in mind what should my gear be looking like?

Example would I rather have an extra thorns effect or better stats?

Here's my Pally... any advice on my near future would be most appreciated! =)

Well you already seem to know the pros and cons of each. My response is, just do what you think is fun. If you like big numbers and plowing through single mobs, then stay ret. If you like fighting several mobs at once and be able to take them all out without breaking a sweat then go prot.

Reckoning is nice for ensuring that you can live longer, and therefore you can fight more mobs at once. It really shines when you have several mobs beating at you at once because it's almost always proccing.

From your post it seems that you want to stay ret, so stay ret. If you want to tank end-game respec later around the mid-50s when ret starts to lag behind and prot talents are really necessary to tank, but at your current level you can really melt some faces.
