Gnome Warlock or Human Warlock?!?Follow

#1 Nov 17 2007 at 5:22 PM Rating: Decent
I want to create a Warlock in the Alliance.

But I don't know what to chose: Gnome or Human.

Thanks to tell me your advise.
#2REDACTED, Posted: Nov 17 2007 at 5:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) well being as that i think alliance is for annoying little kids, and gnomes are the gayest crap in the world, go human if u really wanna be alli. gnome is ok in terms of starting stats but humans looking better in the endgame armor then gnomes IMO. after level 30 or so id say starting stats dont really mean much. sure racials come into play but how often do u think u gonna use em. really just choose what u wanna look at for a long time and go with that.

I have to agree, Allies are for lil kids, and gnomes just look annoying to fight, not even intimidating-just silly. Racials arent a big deal to me, I'm one of the few orc locks out there and the differences between the various races near endgame are minimal.

do you want to look goofy, ugly and stupid? If not go gnome. gnome laugh is full of win. human has perception, gnome has escape artist. so if you refuse to go undead gnome is the better pvp choice

Let me put it this way... Gnome.

After reading BTW... High end Gnomes in *GOOD* gear do not look "goofy" at all, by the way.

The only obnoxious thing about them is you cannot see a Guild Tabard worth a crap. Make your Gnome's hairstyle decent and he'll look fine... Let them say what they wanna say AFTER you woop their ***.

And for people who say "racials are only really good for when you start" I gotta ask... What?! The real racials, the good ones like WotF and Escape Artist, are MUCH more influential in PVP in Late game!

After doing several repgrinds on my first 70 ,a Nelf, I have only rolled humans since :D

+10% to reputation does make a difference in the long run,so its worth considering :)

if you're on a carebear server (roleplaying server). go human. they look better. if you want to pve/pvp properly as an alliance lock you'll benefit ALOT more from being a gnome. gnome racials 100% > human racials (int > spirit, engineering > weapon expertise and escape artist > perception).

escape artist is great due to slowing effects being our bane. perception is incredably situational 'cos you need to have seen the rogue/druid stealth to know that you need to use it. so in otherwords, useless.

I'm fairly certain that Nighslayerquez and his buddies are going to end up sub-defaulting. If they want to post their manure, there is a forum for them. There is no need to post their hate messages here.

I've played a warlock of every race that can be one. All of them have good and bad points. For Alliance, a lot depends on your goals. If you are going to PvP a lot, go gnome. If you plan on doing end-game raiding, the human's ability to gain rep easier really does come into its own.

Alliance sucks, but there is nothing that brings me more joy than pounding a gnome into the ground. I don't know what it is about the things but they just make me angry to look at them.

Orc lock, and if you REALLY want something kiddy/alliance'ish, roll a BE, but for God's sakes dont go alliance.

the rep gain only saves you a few hours of grinding max, which tbh isn't worth the loss of an amazing racial and an increase in your mana. also before anyone says it "improved divine spirit". it'll work out as about 3-4 extra spell damage as a human lock over gnome while the mana increase is equivilant to 1-2 shadowbolts worth.

human = carebear servers
gnomes = pvp and wanting to pve

horde side. undead and blood elf = gods of pvp and have benefits in pve, but orc is the best for pve. racial trinket that scales bloody well with level F T W.

Really, if you're not on a PvP server you're not playing the same game.

Meh, my first toon ever (gnome lock) was on a PVE server. I've rerolled an undead mage on a PVP server, its all the same. Theres no world PVP at 70 unless you count chasing down 30-somethings in STV or the odd failed raid on Org which lasts 5 minutes.

We finished a raid in Magtheridon's Lair and saw some alliance getting ready to go in. We proceeded to kill them, then push them farther and farther back until they were in that town of theirs in HFP. We then killed everything in that town and took an SS in the marshal's room.

IF raids that were going off nightly for weeks:

Last week a guildy of mine was being camped doing BEM dailies so we formed a raid and camped the campers for 4 hours... for the next week we either couldn't complete dailies or had to get groups of 8+ and split into parties to get them done.

There is a guild called <STV Gankers>, my 63 PROT PALLY has a few dozen HKs w/o ever having seen a BG, and when we do world bosses we assign a group of people to wear PvP gear and just wait for people to come try to mess with us. Tich is not for you.
