I got myself a spot as a feral tank in a casual raiding guild, so how would you suggest I prepare for that? I've already begun acquiring tanking leathers, but what about 'attunement' and 'keys'. It sounds like we'll be running Kara, at least to start. Who do I need rep with for that?
To do Kara, you must be attuned to it. If you go at the entrance of Karazhan, there's a guy with a quest for you, do that chain and you'll be attuned. This chain quest requires you to do Shadow Lab, Slave Pen (or UB can't remember), Old hillsbrad and Black Morass.
The rep in Kara is Violet Eye, you'll get the rep while running Kara, there's nothing you can do before that.

And who should I get rep with just in general? Who gives the phat druid lootz?
<--- Left hand menu, there's a Reputation tab... use it, looks at the loot and choose whatever you wish. You can also use Atlas Loot and look at the reputation loots...

But my most immediate concern is getting enough money to buy my epic riding skill so I can start the quest for my epic flight form. People say dailies are the way to make money. The only daily quest I've come across already is the pvp one in Thrallmar. Besides, I've heard that you need to have your epic skill to even begin most dailies. True?
Not true. You can do Skyguard (or whatever they are called) reputation without epic flying mount. The guy beside the fligh master in Shat has a quest that send you there. It's in Terokar, in South east corner in the mountain. You have to have your normal flying at least to go there.
The Shata'ri (spelling) is another chain quest that gives you access to other reps withtout epic flying mount (I think, never finished that chain quest hehe)
For the Netherwing dailies, you do need your epic flying to build rep higher than neutral. But before that, you can do the chain quest to go to neutral (start in near the crystals, not too far from the Scryer flight path in Shadowmoon).

Is my best bet to just do random quests for the money? Do some quests give more than others?
Finish all quests you have in all the zones will give you money instead of experience (obviously). Do all the quests you can, pretty easy money... plus the dailies it should help you some!

I also plan to make a run everyday for herbs to sell (I'm herbalist/alchemy) but I suspect that will get boring very fast. Especially at 60% speed.
It's one thing that will make you some money of course.. getting bored, do some quests.. grind some.. run some instance for rep building, loots..
Before heading to Kara, make sure your gear is good, some quest greens may not be the best gear available =)
