Hello again, all! I've made perhaps one of the most nubly mistakes I could have made... and I'm wondering if there is any way to rectify the situation.

I've always found it quite fun on my hunter to attack the Cenarion emissary near the flight tower in orgrimmar by clicking "at war" and bourne no ill consequences from it. Well, I did the same on my rogue the other day... but instead of letting him beat on me and running away (as I used to do), someone killed him after I'd already attacked him (lowering my rep by five points into unfriendly).

Well, here's the trouble... I just dinged 45 and I'm trying to get the Thrash Blade from Mauradon (those who took time to quest pre-BC will recall that the quest-giver is from the Cenarion Circle and requires at least friendly rep. I've tried (to no avail) to find ways to raise my rep those five points, but have drawn a blank. I even used the quest search to look for CC rep quests or NPCs I can kill to gain rep, but to no avail.

Now, if I don't get this sword it's not the end of the world... but I have a friend willing to help me through Mara (since getting a group on my server for this instance is near impossible). Any suggestions for a forlorned and highly embarrassed rogue?

Buy encrypted twilight text and turn it into cenarion hold in Silithus. That's CC rep. Or go kill the twilight cultists in silithus, that works too.

Along the same sort of lines I found out a while ago that if you select "at war" with factions that wont attack you on sight you can pickpocket the NPCs. For example the booty-bay bouncers & the guards in Gadgetzan, the Furblongs in the furblong tunnel... and so on.

Its a lazy way of making money but it does mean that they will attack you if they resist a pickpocket. Otherwise selecting "at war" with a faction does nothing other than let you perform offensive actions against them, but they wont aggro onto you unless your rep with that faction is low enough that they will attack you on sight anyway.
