Well, My priest is now level 15 and although I'm gonna spec shadow, I'll still be healing a lot in instances/groups/BG's etc.
There was a very useful addon I've seen which basically has little pictures of your cures next to each party member, and you just click the apropriate one to cast that cure on that player.
I've looked on curse and on Wowinterface yet i cannot seem to find this particular addon. Does anyone know where it is downloadable from, or even just the name.

I'm not quite sure of the name, but last time I checked it was out of date even before 2.3. I remember seeing it before TBC and shortly after but it was gone when I got back from my sabbatical. Several of the Healing add-ons are incompatible with 2.3, or at least the ones I have tried. I know that there are a couple in the works but the only one I've been watching for an update lately is HealBot as it worked best for me.
I can't use it, but a healing addon my pally friend uses is called Clique.
Ahh ok, shame they're out of date, and I'll try ut Clique :)

Clique is also nice if you combine it with Grid.
It depends on your style though. I prefer to work with just Grid and my heals on the number keys as hotkeys. It's up to you.
I have used the other addon you mentioned which had the icons next to each picture. It was ok, but yes is out of date, and I found it unsuitable when raiding with more people as apposed to 5 mans.

Well, priest now level 23 (and 9/10ths) I found a version of the clickable icons, installed it, and got rid of it 10 minutes later, its easier to target someone and then click the number keys to heal.
I'll try out grid and some other raiding addons when i start more than 5mans, or maybe AV later...

I've had a look at healbot, it looks very confusing :P But i'll give it a go.
Grid + clique is your friend.
I've personally been using healbot for a while (lvl 61 now) and I love it. Out of the box it does it's job, but after tweaking it for a few weeks healing 5 mans is a breeze, pop on the AV skin and healing in AV is very easy as well.
I still need to tweak a couple little things but for the most part it's perfect.
