Since the tanks don't usually have blessing of light on I've been thinking about replacing my Libram of Souls Redeemed with possibly the Libram of Mending. What are Librams are you using?

Still using the book from Nagrand as I use FoL about 80-90% of the time. Also, I never got that Opera Libram to drop for me yet. :P

Mending looks alright, but basically it's like saying "Your HL spells now cost 44 less mana" (Unless I misunderstood something) which is okay, but not awesome.

Strange that your tanks don't run with BoL though. =/

In most 10-man raids Im usually the only Paladin and the tanks get Blessing of Kings over Light which makes the Libram of Souls Redeemed near pointless. For 10 mans I use the Botanica Libram for Holy Light as my normal Flash of Light is able to keep up until I need the Big Heals. However for 25 mans there should always be more than one Paladin in the raid group which means a tank should have Kings and Light making the Libram of Souls Redeemed a Better Choice. Id say get the ones from Nagrand and Botanica and hold onto the one from Opera as well. Interchange them depending on the situation.

Well, what if you spam HL, then you wouldn't get that full 44 mana if my understanding of the libram is correct, unless it stacks.

For example, with the numbers on the left representing seconds:

0 +0 mana, Start casting HL...
1
2
2.5 You cast HL, you gain 22mp5 for 10 seconds, start casting next HL
3
4
4.5 You cast HL, you gain 22mp5 for 10 seconds (refresh timer), start casting next HL
5 +22 mana
6
6.5 You cast HL, you gain 22mp5 for 10 seconds (refresh timer), start casting next HL
7
8
9
10 +22 mana
11
12
13
14
15 +22 mana
16
16.5 timer ends

66 mana gained with 3 HL casts.
So now you only got 22 less mana per HL, not 44.

If it stacks and refreshes though then you can get a ton of mp5 by spamming HL, though you would lose mana FAST so its not really viable to do that.

Honestly the best, if you can't have light on the tank, is the blessed book of nagrand. Yes the new libram is nifty but honestly FoL is much more efficient a spell at healing people than HL is, so you really should only use HL in emergencies. If you're using HL as your main spell, then you're not leaving yourself the mana required for the really long fights.

Look at it this way, if you spend all your time healing with HL then have to switch to FoL for the long bosses, do you really think you'll be as an effective healer since you won't be healing the way you're used to?

Well one thing I should say is only on some 25 man raids have we had more then one paladin. We have had more shamen or druids then paladins and hunters. Reason I was considering the libram of mending is usually my healing is 3-4 flash of lights with an occasional holy light heal. The other healers have also gotten used to the fact that I seem to target the tanks and then the other healers and lastly the dps before I heal myself unless of course I'm last healer standing, then it's tank, and myself and if neither of us is taking damage I will heal the dps.

I didn't think about that whole stack/refresh issue, good point Jack.
Makes that Libram even less attractive now. XD

I could have fit a fourth one in there too, make it even less mp5 per HL, I just noticed that.

Actually, there's a libram from Naxx that's a little better than the Blessed Book in those situations, but since it's a minimal gain for a fair amount of effort it can really just be ignored.

Oh I agree, the one from Naxx is really better. I knew about it, I purposely ignored it, as you said, because when was the last time YOU ran Naxx since BC came out?

Its the same reason why I didn't include the rejuvenating gem in my holy guide
