I'm having problems trying to use a single macro to begin auto attack + Maul. I use a similar macro for Growl, as well as a rogue macro to auto attack + sinister strike:

#showtooltip Maul
/startattack
/cast Maul

For some reason this macro doesn't work; If I don't have the necessary rage required to maul then it won't even auto attack. This is REALLY strange because it works fine with the growl macro even if growl is down. It also begins attacking properly with my rogue even if I don't have enough energy to do a sinister strike.

Is my syntax correct? Did the patch change the functionality of the /startattack tag, or change something about rage dependent abilities? I checked the feral macro list in the sticky and the macro seems basically correct but its just not working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I'd have to look further into the macro stuff, which I cannot do right now, but I'm thinking it has to do with the fact that Maul is an "on your next attack" skill rather than an "in-between attack" skill.

I'm thinking if the "on next attack" skill cannot be used it won't even start attacking, but I know it should... but then again, I'm not too sure how such things work. I just left-click my target or press T when I want to attack so... O_o

I'll try to look it up a bit later.

How did you fix it? Inquiring minds may want to know. :)
