Can someone tell me the real difference between daggers vs swords vs maces (or point me in the right direction)? I understand some abilities don't work without a dagger and some weapons hit harder and some are slower. How does this apply to certain specs? I'm really looking for insight on the weapons I should have to respec to sub and be effective and why. I've been mutilate/daggers my entire career.
Sorry for sounding like an idiot but I've never cared to change until now.

Quick insight:
1. Swords and maces have higher damage. Slower weapon should stay in your MH. Daggers are supposedly going out of style.
2. Don't use maces if you are sword spec....and vice versa. Should be common sense but...
3. The last 3000 posts have been about the switch to hemo/sub or AR/Prep. Read them.
