im getting near 40 on this priest alt and cant really decide what to do after i get shadow form, should i maybe backtrack my shadow talents and pick up everything i skipped(shadow reach, imp SW:P and some others) or maybe go 11 disc? or maybe just keep going deeper in shadow and backtrack my skipped shadow talents after i got really deep?
please advice

respec, and get all those talents you skipped cause SW:P is our most effective mana->dmg spell, just takes some time and 2 extra ticks with out +mana, is nice. shadow reach I love, it may not seem a lot but our mind flay has a real sucky distance, 2 pts will make your chain better... norm mine is MB-> SW:P->MF. and right when the flay is ended the mob is almost to me...just enough time to get off another MB. or you can just wand but that last MB takes the mob down enough to where you will be able to just wand like 4 times

thanks, will take a look at that post, not sure why i skipped imp SW:P for now, seemed lackluster at that level since i killed mobs alot faster then the duration, im killing alittle slower now and it seems it can become a good talent at about this level.

how and I so far...
and I know what you mean at the SW:p almost being useless cause your killing the mobs a lot faster than the total duration of the spell, but in instances you can just throw it on a target or an off target even better, and just do a lil dps while healing.

Imp. Sw:P isn't worth it until later levels.
Once you get shadowform go for 5/5 wand spec and then carry on with your shadow tree. In general you should be pretty much ok with MB -> Sw:p and VE while running away some -> MF -> wand the rest.
