Would it be the Sucubus? Is Improved Lash of pain a good choice of talents?

What would a typical destro fight be? Charm > Soul Fire > ?

Is there a cookie cutter Destro build? (oh sh*t I should check if there's FAQ)

Also, not to offend of course, but am I better off just rolling a Mage rather then being a Destro Lock? Or is it just as strong. Appreciate any thoughts & comments on Destros as well. :)

the answer to you is not pet at all. deep destruction will look something like

0/21/40 where the 21. point in demonology is Demonic Sacrifice whith which you will sacrifice your succubus to increase all shadowdamage by 15%.

A typical destro-lock fight in pve looks like: Curse of Whatever (either you are on Curse of Shadow/Elements or Recklessnes duty or you can cast Curse`o`Doom) than once apropiate geared you will just spam shadowbolts.

pvp as dest, is either succy or felhound. depends on what you're up against (with the new pvp trinkets seduce is less useful. so felhound is usually best). for pve the 'best' spec is 0/21/40 with a sacrifised succubus. also improved firebolt and improved lash of pain are talents that should never be taken. (in the past, imp.FB was worth it. then they nerfed it by 0.5seconds and the whole purepose of the 'imp minigun' spec was lost)

I know the rule on Demonic Sacrifice is that it is cancelled once another demon is summoned, but what about if a demon is enslaved? Is it still canceled?

Thanks

nope, it's not canceled. meaning if you have demonic knowledge you can sacrifice your succy for the 15% damage and then enslave say... a doomguard to gain more +damage aswell as his cool abilities ^^

PvE: Sacrificed Succy
PvP: There's a few options.

1 - Felpuppy
2 - Felpuppy
3 - See above for more options

Being able to lock down casters in arena/world pvp/battlegrounds far outweighs being able to seduce. Pvp destruction warlocks have shadowfury, which is all you really need to turn a fight around on a melee.

Unless you're a scrub in blues, against someone in full S2. Then you're boned anyways.

Looks like keeping distance is pretty important as a Destro Lock. Deathcoil, followed up by a fear then spamming Shadowbolts and timing fears/howl of terror to keep them away while knocking out more sbolts would be the way to go.

Thanks for your tips.

pvp as dest, is either using your succy or using your felpup. either is good but generally the felpup is the best choice.
