Zul'Aman Cleared on Patch Day!!Follow

So just like it says, ZA was cleared on patch day by my Guild, LoTH (Laggers of The Horde) From what the Guild Leader was saying its a rather difficult instance. He compared one boss to Hydross from SSC but doing it with 10 people instead of 25. They also wiped on trash either before or after 3rd boss and our MT was gettin cleaved harder than any boss in SSC or TK cleaves for..I wish I would have been able to hear him in vent. I heard it was funny. Anyway, I haven't ventured into ZA as the loot is not worth it from a PvE stand point, and I shall go when the nerf it to hell! ha ha.

Anyway, Blizzard spent quite some time with ZA only for it to be done within the first 24 hours it was open. lol GG Blizz. Other than that, I'm pretty cool with the new warrior talents. Yeah I dont like not having DW, but hey...WW and WM get the job done. Just to brag, I was in a group with a Shaman last night for Gruul's (druid too) and with all the paly buffs (Might, Kings) and druid buff (GoTW), I watched my AP reach 4.2k. It was an amazing thing to see my BT crit for over 2.5k. The increase in AP came from the Enhance Shammy though, so props to him. BUT even with all that and 40% threat reduction from salv and fury talent I still managed to top the Threat Meter. Meh, enough for now..

I think you're confusing ZA with the Sunwell instances in 2.4. ZA's level is not supposed to be harder than all other existing content, so it's possible to outgear ZA even at its release. It's pretty easy to clear an instance that you're overgeared for.

ZA was expected to be cleared on patch day.

Actually I'm not confusing ZA with sunwell instances. I'm being dead serious. Don't expect to go in there with blues and greens and complete the encounter. Granted my guild hasn't seen anything outside of SSC and TK and they're having problems. When a 2/5 T5 tank is talking about getting cleaved for 9k, thats pretty sick. Zul'Aman is still rough on the t4 guys too.

Basically what I'm saying is that it is not for the casual raider and requires alot of coordination for boss fights, even though they are sort of your tank and spank fights.

They're much more technical than gear fights. He's getting Cleaved for 9k on like a minute timer, and it's wholly predictable. The Bear Cavalry mobs on the way to the Bear boss have to be separated, or they can stack two -10,000 armor debuffs and +50% damage debuffs on the tank (which is Unfun).

It's really not very hard once you know what to do, and they don't require much gear at all to complete once you have the sense of their abilities. By the same token, they're not trivial even in great gear... or, rather, not terribly more trivial. Your tank is going to get wrecked if he's got -20k armor and +50% damage no matter what, so learning tricks like that makes it rather simple.

Went into ZA last night and downed the bear boss. Cleared to lynx boss and got in two solid attempts before we had to call it a night.

Pretty sure we will down the lynx boss tonight.

One thing I did notice though on the way to the lynx boss is the number of trash mobs in a pull. Much like the party guests in kara. Thank god we have a paladin tank and he can grab the whole group.

That being said, using SS with the new WW on those groups is nothing short of sex. Though I still miss DW.

I think it seems rather healing intensive than tanking intensive.
