Can we make a global warming thread?

Have a lot of fun, break the monotony of the boards "omg rate my builds!".

Speak of which, Armory contest?

There is a thread: "Contest: The Worst Armory Profile EVAR (Part II)" That has since dropped into the second page.

And if you want a thread on global warming feel free to start one in the Offtopic forum. Ill be happy to contribute.

On-topic, I was also wondering about the 5 points in MoD and only 1 point in dirty deeds. Would dropping 1 point from somewhere in combat not be made up for by the extra damage made from 2/2 in Dirty deeds?

Edit: Said Camo when I meant MoD.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboZ0eV0bVzxMZVMe0Mhzo didn read through the whole thread but here is the 11/28/22 build. Im currently seeing slightly higher dps from 11/27/23 where you take 2/2DD over 5/5 sword spec.

The new Hemo and 5/5 Mace Spec....Ouchies :D

Maybe in PvP, but for PvE, sword spec is way better.

So is there a break point in terms of AP where the hemo build will out-damage the 19/42/0 combat build, or is this always the case now? I don't have near the gear that Nooble has, and I'm pretty much limited to the 10 mans. I've got both S2 swords and a little over 1500 AP unbuffed as combat swords. My groups are usually pretty light on melee, and best case scenario I can get to about 2k AP buffed.

Thanks in advance,
Camel

Sorry about the lack of responses, had some personal things to tend to the last couple days. Wasn't expecting to get to use my computer again for at least another week, but that's a different story.

Anyway, my cycle was 1s/5r. 1s/5e for VR. I took MoD over Opportunity as a personal preference. The 20% increase on your opener will amount to jack **** in the long run, so I just skipped it entirely. My guild's finishing up SSC Sunday, where I'll have more data to report.

Just bumping this up to see if I can get an answer to my question without starting a new hemo thread.

Hiya nooble. I was just wondering how a slight variation on your build would do in PVP? This build looks really nice for PVE but was wondering if it would hold up well in PVP battlegrounds?

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fbe0oZhfV0bVzxMZxrfoMhzo

Let me know if that looks ok or if it would be a waste of time. Im currently 41/20/0 multilate daggers but am thinking about going swords since the hemo buff. I almost have enough honor for a s2 weapon so I want to know if I should get the sword or stick with multilate and get the s2 dagger.

I appreciate any responces and all your hard work and research for rogues everywhere!

No AR or Prep? No mace spec? I'm thinking...not very well.

Goodie, I always wanted to try Hemo raiding build. I guess it is the time.

Are the DPS values given by Nooble including the hemo debuff in any way, or will it be an extra bonus for the raid?

are you daft, you don't need ar OR prep to raid--my 11/27/23 or an 11/28/22 build will outdamage the crap out of your PVP BUILD--if you don't agree then poo @ you and enjoy your inferiority...

11/27/23 swords is kicking ***, the rest of the melee love the bonus dps as well. HemoSwords > all.

I have got 50dps more on Gruul with 11/27/23 swords. And I have the impression I am tearing through trash better than I was with the combat build. And I kind of like that I do not have to worry about using AR (the crazy SS spamming that was ******** my cycles).
On the other hand, I often see S&D fading now with 1s/5r cycle (with 2xT4). Maybe I need 4xT4?

Im actually thinking about dropping my 2 T4, I picked up [gloves of deftness] and already have x11 goggles. Both on their own are better than the 2 T4 items. The only reason why I keep them is for the 3 second extra s&d bonus. Buts since Im now 11/27/23 garote often procs 2 combo points and I usually get a point back after rupture.

what do you guys think keep 2 T4 or upgrade the 2 items to equipment that beats them in MAEP?

The 2 piece T4 bonus is the best set bonus we get until Tier 6. I kept my two piece until very recently because it was so good. Only replaced it when I had the T5 Helm and the gloves off Al'ar (some of the best rogue gloves for a LONG time). My DPS increase was marginal at best, even though I picked up the T5 two piece in the process.

A little more info on my spec. Did all of TK up to Kael (new people learning the fight ftl). We have a new Rogue who outgears me, using Combat Swords. He's pretty good, so he'll be a good benchmark of Combat Swords versus Hemo.

Al'ar
Me: 755 DPS
Him: 674 DPS

VR
Me: 921 DPS
Him: 995 DPS

Solarian
Me: 1110 DPS
Him: 1131 DPS

Full Raid (Including trash)
Me: 866
Him: 846

So, it's pretty close. He beat me on VR largely because VR is bleed immune, and he has Improved Eviscerate, while I don't. Al'ar I can chalk up to him being relatively new to the fight, and probably being a bit conservative on DPS. Solarian is neck and neck, with only a 21 DPS difference. I don't know if he popped Blade Flurry for the adds (which I do not, I take unnecessary damage that way).

The Kael attempts varied widely. I ranged from ~900 DPS to ~1100. His DPS was skewed because he was using ranged attacks in Phase 1 (I'm lazy, and it does not help the raid in any way for me to shoot the adds).

So, I'd have to say that Hemo and Combat Swords are roughly equal in terms of damage. The raid buff Hemo gives is likely to push it a bit over Combat Swords for total raid damage, but that's hard to say from just looking at DPS numbers.

Can't wait to get into Hyjal so I can use Rage Winterchill as my benchmark fight.

You mean Mr. Random Stun, and the guy who likes to force the entire melee out of range with Death and Decay? Probably not a terribly fair test.
