since all shamans can now use 2h axes and maces, are there any good caster 2h axes and maces. and if so are they better than the many daggers and staves?
No. There are no 2H axes with caster stats, and the maces with caster stats spend points of melee stats and on top of that don't have the damage drop that caster weapons have (reducing white damage to ~41.6dps, which frees up in some cases in the region of +200dmg worth of stats).
Nope. Was hoping for some on a shockadin and there aren't any lol. Stick with a 1H and a shield, you get more survivability.
actually i stick with staves, better stats
One-hand + shield is better once you get in heroics and raids. Stats don't matter nearly as much, but the extra dmg/crit/hit does.
but the stave i have now is where i get those +crit, spell hit, damage and such
If you want to have fun there is the hammer of Narru or somethin like that, drops off first boss in gruuls, its got sockets str stam and spell damage
