Anyone else underwhelmed by the new hunter mail items that can be purchased with heroic badges?
I'm looking over the gear and I'm not really seeing a lot I can use. Maybe I've just geared past it...I'm in T4 equivalent, I guess, but have some gear that could stand to be replaced (i.e., Felstalker set). However, it looks like there's a lot of Shammy gear, but not a lot that's great for hunters. I'm still using the Felstalker set and I'd love to upgrade it, but the gear from badges doesn't have sockets and lacks +hit. For the most part, it looks like a more or less even swap, or a net loss in some cases. I'm not going to go collect a bunch of badges for gear that's not at least a minor upgrade.
I guess I'll just have to stick to hoping for drops from raid runs.

It has a lot of agility, which is nice for the SV hunters, but for a BM hunter the ebon netherscale set is better, especially with the +hit set bonus.

Eh....it's not bad but nothing overly amazing. The gloves will do me some good, as will the bracers and the pants. My pants are one of the few blue items I have left but at least they're from heroic UB. Eagerly awaiting the the S3 hunter axe to get rid of my heroic MT axe.

The Badges gear is a tremendous upgrade for my Hunter (SV now) and also a very good upgrade for my Shammy, looking forward to trying some of it out :)

None of them save for the Cloak were any kind of upgrades and even that, was minor. Kinda underwhelming and I am just Kara geared.
Then you should take a look at those nice [wowitem=33529]bracers[/wowitem].
You currently have [wowitem=28454]those[/wowitem].
For the cost of 3 agi you get 3 stamina, 2int, 6ap and your attacks ignore 105 of your opponents armor.
Those are clearly better than your old bracers and well worth those 35 badges.
Another nice item is the [wowitem=33280]belt[/wowitem].
Compared to your [wowitem=28656]belt[/wowitem].
+4agi, +15sta, +6int, +8ap, +70ignore armor, -6mp5, -17hit
As soon as you are hit capped without your belt, the heroic reward one is a lot better. Currently they are about equally good.
Of course those heroic rewards are no major upgrades from T4 stuff. You get those badges by doing heroics, Karazhan and Zul Aman. Why should you get far superior stuff? I expected nothing more than slight upgrades or side grades to Karazhan level gear and the bracers where a nice surprise. But finally there is gear for some slots you can get from those badges and you have not to run to Karazhan for months to get those drops :-)

Just fixed these for you. Besides, you can't use the Wowitem tags without premium. If you do want to use them, you use them like this:
