Hi everyone. My lvl 49 hunter is awesome, and I love lvling him.

I was wondering though, how does my spec look? I know bestial swiftness isn't the best, but I use an owl without dash/charge for screech, so I'm definitely keeping that one. Just wanted to know if I'm on the right track(I read the sticky) and if I should go switch the points for AoTH and ET for lvling...

Also, will I be able to find any gear in Mara that will be better than mine? Some of it is good, and other pieces are getting quite old. Most are the best +agil that I can find at the AH or in drops though. I do have the harpyclaw bow for my next lvl, and I forgot to equip the staff I bought with +14Agil, +14Int.

Thanks for all the help in advance. I'd rate up if I could.

Seeing as apparently you want us to guess your spec, I've made one up for you. Note I've only picked the most useful talents, so you should pwn people with this

if you've read the sticky you're probably fine. At lower levels it doesn't matter very much. Make sure you get the tier one crit boost from the MM tree. Loot tables can be found by searching for the zone.

you probably want to stop talking about karma, just a suggestion. people tend to rate that down.

I really could care less about karma rate downs when all I see on here are sages with 100 posts, and half of them in one thread where they all got rated up to excellent for two words. I said what I said because I meant it, not because I wanted pity.

Sorry for not including my hunter on the last post, I really meant to...

Really? 2 points or would one just suffice?

Also, I'm guessing I should be getting SS and the beast within before finishing off frenzy?

lol, my comment still stands. Every post I see by you Xsarus is rated up to good... either you've got someone who lubs you very much, or you have another account at scholar and keep rating yourself up.

I'll vote the latter.

Sages got a base rating of Good, you ******. If they kept making posts ranked Decent, they'd lose their Sage status unless someone did rate up every single post they made. And your sig will be turning you into perma-default in a very short time.

The only way I can really advise you to counteract it, would be to post heavily in the OoT or Asylum. Especially about Karma.

baveux, are you trying to inflame the forum? the other posts I've seen from you have been just as rude and uninformed. I appreciate that you probably don't have the experience with the game, but a little more politeness would be appreciated. Especially when people are trying to help you. And as north said my posts start off at good.

The rating of a fresh post is based on the Karma of the poster and it can then go up and down depending on how others rate the post. So Sage posts generally show up as 'good' to begin with before they get rated up or down. I think there is a explanation of the whole Karma system somewhere in the FAQs of the site and I think there is a briefer one on the FAQ thread of the main WoW forum.

While I am not experienced enough in playing a Hunter to really rate a build, I do know that the Imp Mend Pet is amazing. I love seeing debuffs disappear from my pet as he's fighting. I often throw Mend Pet out just for the debuff removal even if he's not taking enough damage to really need the mend portion. If you go Beastmaster, I highly recommend putting points into the Imp Mend Pet.

Even rank 1 removes debuffs, so use that if pet sits on full hp, but have a poison/magic/whatever on him.

Just in case this is helpful - you might want to train your owl with Dive when you can if you want the flying equivalent of Dash! would save you 2 precious pts in your talents perhaps.

I only use 1 pt in Mend pet and it works fine to remove nasty debuffs after a couple of ticks

Yeah, I hate to tell you that I'm not getting rated up every post, my base is Good. Every post I make says good because that's my karma standing.

Of course you do. You are one of the few people on this board with a firm contact with reality. Thus, you acknowledge me as what I am.

And Revan ofcourse.....

(that is the name of your dog right? or did i fail to remember once again?)

It's close. Myself and Revan are the only two that are consistently sane and reasonable. The rest pretty much changes every time the wind shifts. Revan is sadistic though, so I can't rely on him to provide quality opinions either.

Sadistic? I am a gentle flower, frequently asked to dabble my fingers in people's tea to sweeten it.

My dog however, have... histories. Amongst others, he recently woke me up by nestling his nose in my ********* and sneezing. Going from fast asleep to hanging from the ceiling in a split second is a horrible experience.
