At first I thought I would be most pleased with my spell damage, while 750+ spell damage unbuffed is nice and I can kill things twice as fast now, I have to say 40 yard cleanse made my frickin day.

Oh and ZA is a blast, fights have a lot happening but not a pain in the ***. Which after 2 nights wiping on Vashj was a nice change of pace.

I completely forgot to load up my paladin and check things out on her. Smiley: blush

Spent all night on my mage or working on getting my video settings back to a reasonable level. Will probably check out ZA this weekend in the morning.

They weren't kidding when they stated that ZA starts where Prince left off.

It's not insane Vashj type encounters where everyone has to be aware and dealing with 4 things at once, however you really become aware that Kara was a learning curve and that the fights often focused on one thing only at a time, only pulling it all together for Nether, Nightbane and Prince at the end.

Each ZA fight involves every person in the 10 man to be aware of the strat and being able to react on a seconds notice. A lot of guilds on my server who were able to farm kara were having trouble getting past the first boss in ZA.

The trash is pretty interesting too at times. Be ready to be fun if you bring your "A" game or get your *** handed to you if you were looking for easy epics.

ZA is going to make us all look like bloody totem poles again, I was really enjoying the whole 'crystal robots and demonic stuff' designs of SSC/TK. Oh well.

For Ret/Prot Paladins, 2.3 is Christmas come early. On the PTR she crits hard, swings hard, and is capable of some serious burst damage. Of course, Im a Blood Elf Paladin so I get Seal of Blood, which has become seriously strong with the improvements to Vengeance and the increased crit chance.

Ive tried out both Prot/Ret and Ret/Prot builds so far, and to be honest I couldnt be happier. The Paladins whining about Shamans getting a spelldmg talent in a melee tree; listen up fellas, they are a DPS focused hybrid. They cant tank, we can. It's only fair they have superior DPS talents to us, and besides, they badly needed it as anyone in BT/Hyjal will tell you.

It's all good; now I just want them to unify Toughness and Anticipation into a single talent and I'll slap a big 'fixed' sticker on the Prot tree ^^

I opened my char screen and saw 810 spell damage! That is more spell damage in my healing gear than in my actual spell damage gear! It was nuts. I actually went ahead and vendored my spell damage gear (no real need for it, its less spell damage and less crit). Now I have to decide what to put in that bag! lol

That spell damage is nice. I was in AB and found myself alone with a rogue who had 2/3 of his health. Now normally I’ll just try to heal through or run towards help. Not this time I stood my ground and actually downed him. Quite a rush, critted Holy Shock and JoR stunned consecrate JoR = dead rogue.

Only thing I was mad about was that I got some friggin error upon downloading the patch, had to "repair" the files, and then redo all my settings, reinstall mods, and will have to redo my macros >.< Other then that, I couldn't be happier! Finally got my 10% Stamina talent (YAY, ABOUT TIME!!!) taking my unbuffed health up from 12757 to 13687, then adding the new Heroic Badge cape replacing one of my last blues :D

FOund something interesting with my Righteous Defense macro. I copied exactly from Jack's sticky (cause I had to redo them and forgot exactly what it was >.>), but when I have nothing targeted the tooltip doesn't show like it should/did before and it has the ? icon instead of the Judgement shoulder icon (when I made the macro I used the ? icon since it changes to match the particular spell. At least, it did ...)

When I target something though, the tooltip shows up and the icon changes back to the shoulder icon. Then I de-select a target, goes back to the ? ... Can't figure out what's wrong, it worked perfectly before the patch set up the exact same way >.<

Haven't had a chance to actually "field test" it yet, cause some stupid emergency maintenance, but as long as it works I guess I'll just have to get used to it going all funky.

Interesting, my macro did that sometimes but it always worked as intended so I never bothered to figure it out

All I can tell about that macro is that instead of
#showtooltip
you can put
#showtooltip Righteous Defense
and it'll always display the right tooltip and icon. At least I think...

Edited form for clarity, kinda.

I loaded up my sweet, dear paladin. I spent 340 badges on 6 tanking items. Now i hav e2k more health, 2k more armor, 2% more avoidance, and 70 more spell damage.

I went in to ZA and solo tanked the bear boss, with the support of 4 exceptional healers.

Thanks, tooltip always shows now :) Still waiting to field test it, but I'm sure it'll work fine.
