I am still new to the priest class, but I am loving in. I was jsut wondering if I could get a critique my progess.

Im gonna respec to this below, as I am getting in to PvP and want to focus on solo work too. I dont have a prob healing right now... for around my respected lvl, +6 levels is a lil hard in instances...

That's great for grinding, though for pvp you might want blackout and some points in disc... mainly going for imp pw:s.

Still, you have many levels to do that.

Hi waterdromance,

I would have gone for something more like : http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bZZxGMtMtohd.

Why ? For first, I would have put the 3 pts from Shadow Focus into Shadow Inifinty. During instances or group quest, you'll need to down your aggro. In case you don't put points there, I think you'll have some hard time to manage mob's wrath. I also think you don't really need Shadow focus while leveling. You should normaly encounter no problem with the mobs until you don't fight +5 lvl from you. I did kill some mobs in the Eastern Plaguelands who where +5 lvl but it's rarely on quest line.
Second, you should take focus mind. If you go for some PvP, it's quite usefull. 15 % less mana spent is still a good thing.
Third and last, I kept Darkness in the template, but as you are leveling and pvp'ing, I would have spent them into Improved VE. Imp. VE isn't really usefull at a high level but while leveling, it still helps. For example, your dealing things with two mobs and a third comes, put DoTs, Fear and VE on to mobs and life bar will appreciate. It's also interesting during instances in case of emergency or at least to help the healer a bit.

Hope my advices helped you a bit.

HF.

PvP centric with PvE grinding stuff.

Explanation:
If you get asked for instances, 99/100 times youll be asked to heal, which is fine as shadow, if you have a healing kit (gear with lots of int before outland mainly).

Imp VE is overkill imo i leveled my SP without it and ive never missed it in grinding, i didnt even use it,(MB > run > SW:P > flay > flay > wand) unless if i got adds. And you have to get rid of youre leveling bandages in some way, also a good moment to let spirit tap tick. And casting VE in PvP is also a waste of youre GCD imo.

I like how that build looks Sjans, I see you have blackout in there, I have really no experience with it yet, but I think it makes sense seeing it I can stun a mob, even if its at 6% that will give me enough time to get off another MB, or even a flay if they distance is right.

In PvP though I would worry about not having Shadow Focus, but I see the point in not having it cause Im not soloing +5, and if there are +5s around I am healing. not doing dmg. so it makes sense.

The only reason I took Shadow weaving is cause everyone says its such a great skill, but at my level Im not doing that much damage, I think my highest crit was around 700. but I also fight mobs that are -1 or -2, and I often see myself trying to get 5 shadow weaving, but by that time I'm wanding the mob cause its at 30% and my SW:P is also ticking away. maybe if they didn't nerf it and it was about to do 1% more damage when fully stacked it would be nice in boss fights... but even then I rarely get to DPS unless there is another healer in the group and they say that I can DPS and they will take over healing for some time.

So I may respec to that build looks pretty solid, and I haven't had that much trouble healing so far with one set of gear, A lot of the other priest I come across have almost 800 less mana than I do and about 200 less HP. I do have to upgrade some of my gear in like 5 more levels, but with enchanting i am able to get a lil more wear outta my gear.

If you PvP against higher level players a lot (more then 2 levels) maybe its worth it to take 2 points out of imp mind blast and putt hem in shadow focus.
But generally youre hitchance against players of the same level or 2 levels above is 97%
