Build AnalysisFollow

I have been playing with my specs a bit and was looking for some GENTLE courteous feedback on my build. I am, right now at 50/2/9 but my DPS is worse than it was with a demon spec with a few points in affliction and destruction. I have even significantly upped my +spell this-and-that. Any suggestions are appreciated or maybe some feedback on what I might be able to do to be more dps effective. I need a 'versatile' build that will allow me to effectively do questing (solo), raids (groups .. obviously) and the occasional PVP. I know my gear isnt super fantabulous but Im working on that. Just in case, my toon's name is Psychie and she is on the Scarlet Crusade server .. if ya'll wanted to look her up on the armory.

My current build (although SE for 2.3 patch?) - I can still easily solo most group quests [3], rarely lose 2v1 pvp (world/bg), and am running 28%+ overall dps in Kara.

If you are more raid-focused, I would suggest rearranging your points into imp sb/ bane.

IMO, you have too much in Affliction, and not enough in some of the most useful talents. Since it's an all-around build, you'll want Demonic Embrace and Shadowburn for PvP. In you Destro Tree, you don't really need Cataclysm either.

Here's what I would do:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?0502220512230115512002050000000000000000000505000010000000000000

This leaves you 4 points. You'll obviously want to pick up UA, but where to sepnd the point to make it available is up to you. Get either Imp CoA and 1 point in Supression -or- 3/3 Malediction. kinda depends on your role in your Raid Group. If you are on CoS or CoE duty then get Malediction.

I was just wondering OveliaLethon, why do you have a point in shadow embrace and Siphon Life? They just seem to me to be rather weak dots for more mana than they are worth, so why add the extra dots? I'm also Heavy affliction and wondering if those dots would make a big difference in my dps?

When i do 5 man instances im usually #1 or 2 on the damage/dps meters. Im a 64 aff lock with a spec of 45/5/5 right now. Siphon life is a great dot. Usually when im solo questing ill throw up 3 dots : CoA, SL, and corr. Siphon life really shines when your taking on 2 or more mobs at a time. Put siphon life on all of them and watch your health never go down. If any one wants to know look up Darkwonderer on lothar for gear and spec.

As for Shadow embrace, I had it maxed out once but respecced and took points out of it. I dont notice the deferance at all between when i had it and now. The only viable reason to put points in it is if you got the soul siphon talent. As per wowwiki shadow embrace is counted as an affliction effect. http://www.wowwiki.com/Soul_Siphon

Siph. Life adds quite a bit to your overall dps, and gives you a constant heal (life-tap, or less healer-attention needed).

SE is a remainder from the last patch, back when it counted as an Affliction effect.
