Quick maiden questionFollow

Ok My guild has been having a small issue with the maiden. we have yet to down her.

But we have been getting very VERY close. our best has been getting her to about 10 percent. I have been watching videos and trying to think about how i could help and what i could recommend to the group to make it easier.

our positioning around maiden is good. we have a pally that uses blessing of sacrifice and everything. we do extremely awesome until about 20 percent. then at some point we just get an unlucky repentance right at the same time the pally was going to recast blessing of sacrifice again. so the tank goes down and we wipe.

Now my question is. I have watched a video where the group would anticipate maidens repentance and walk up onto the platform into her holy ground and take the small ammount of fire damage. that way repentance would be broken for the whole group instantly and they back out and get back to dpsing.

Is this a viable option for the maiden fight? or is this kinda a individual tactic that is not very solid?

also what would the best mod for determining the maidens repentance be. because the mod we are using now seems to be totally inaccurate.

make sure your pally has bigwigs, or deadlybossmods or something like it. Repentance has a CD and so the pally just has to start BoS 5 seconds before the CD is up. You can make it so you never miss a sacrifice no matter what. Also BoS lasts 30 seconds and has a 30 second CD, so you'd have to be really really unlucky to miss one.

(I use bigwigs, it will show when the CD is up, but that doesn't mean she'll cast it right away. maybe this is the cause of the "inaccuracy". I've never seen the delay be longer then 30s so BoS should still be up.

Now, if your pally messes up, things to mitigate death are

1) stack hots on the tank before the repentance
2) tell the tank if the repentance is missed and he can shield wall/last stand
(for a druid tank, frenzied regeneration, for a pally tank, cast BoS on a healer)
3) the tank can drag maiden over to the healers and then back to the middle. this will bring them out of repentance.

edit: Some healers can try and time the repentance by running up (it's pointless for dps to do this), but this is hard, and means they can't heal while they are there, so only one healer should do this. With a pally this really isn't necessary

edit2: if you have more then one pally, have the 2nd pally put BoS on a melee, so you have more healers up

Seems like it could work. Our raid places all the healers in touching alcoves and after repentance the tank drags here a couple of steps towards to the healers to break them out of it. Always worked for us, and we one shotted her the first week and always get her in two tries at most (you get those random unlucky occasions on any boss). Something to try anyway.
