Deep arcane vs. 10/48/3 build in new patch.Follow

Is arcane still viable after they nerfed the Lightning Capacitor and added basically 10% to the damage on the fire tree? I have been Arcane since I started. I am almost exclusively PVE. And this change has me finally wondering whether to give in and change, at least until I get a second piece of T5 which along with the new mana savings in arcane seem to make spamming AB pretty deadly. My current Character and build:

I am switching the talents I currently have slightly if I remain arcane because I lost spellhit cap when I added Bloodmaw Magus-Blade last night. My build will be 48/13/0 with the extra point in Arcane Focus and our of Flame Throwing. My equipment is:

Spellfire and Spellstrike sets
Bloodmaw Magus-Blade
Brooch of Unquenchable Fury
One piece of T5 - (Shoulders)
Boots of blasting.
Lightning Capacitor
And similar

My question is this. The loss of the Lightning Capacitor totally killed one of the major advantages Arcane had. Spamming AM's with the Capacitor made Arcane a very viable alternative to the Fire build for PVE or PVP. Now they basically have made the Capacitor near worthless with a 2.5 second cooldown. In exchange we get a doubling of mana regen and a change to evocation to 60% of mana rather than spirit based, an increase as well. Basically enabling us to put into our rotation more mana draining spells like spam AM's or AB's. (We use shadow priests for mana as well). But fire gets the removal of the prior patch nerf of the 10% reduction on damage on the imp. fireball, the primary fire weapon, so basically about a 10% increase in total damage. The question is whether the mana savings offset the increased fire output. Has anyone done the math on this to see what this nerf and buff for each talent tree has done to the competiveness of the builds. When I spam AM's, or even more spam AB's, I can rival most fire mages in DPS. But I have no clue how many more AB's or AM's I can insert in my rotation in a long boss fight with these changes and if it offsets or at least keeps up with the huge increase the firemages are getting.

Also, what do we Lightning Capacitor lovers replace it with now? I have Quagmirran's Eye and Shiffar's Nexus-Horn in storage. Which is better for end game PVE whether fire or arcane build?

AM spam mages (i.e. not 2/5 T5) got nerfed to hell and back by the metagem change. 2/5 T5 is still looking quite good and viable for the gear gap it fits in, but it's not clear if it'll be better than Fire at any point now that the Fireball damage tax has been junked.

EDIT: Of course, you didn't have the halfcast metagem that made AM great in the first place...
