that is my armory page. I know hybrid isn't the way to go. I am going to respec into prot fully at some point. What do you guys think of me right now? I have a stock pile of plate just waiting for me at 40. I don't really wanna upgrade my mail right now but will if I have to. I hear you guys always talk about arms/fury what about prot? Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Oh yeah this is my main toon. I haven't been playing all that long.

What are you looking to do with this Warrior? DPS/soloing or Tanking?

If you're looking to DPS... no offense but your talents are pretty off the mark.

-Toughness at that level is meh. (unless you're only tanking not soloing)

-Anticipation at the level is meh. (unless you're only tanking not soloing)

-Booming Voice & Demo shout are pretty much wasted talents at that level (again, no offense).

Do you solo with your sword and board? Are you doing it to prove a point... or just think the +Defense is better than +attack, but lower defense?

For DPS/soloing I went something like this Sample DPS build with Imp. Slam
Or even
Imp Overpower/Impale route
*anyone feel free to tear it appart, I used this... if not very close.

Gear: If you want to finish up the 4 levels without getting new gear go for it. As of right now you have some items almost 10 levels old. I'm a huge fan of keeping as current as possible, but that's just me. It's your game.

I would also either get a nice 2H weapon and have at it that way....or another 1 hand weapon for DW and change some talents to go 5/5 on Imp. Dual Weild.

Guess it depends on how you want to get experience? Solo or Instances

Well I have been tanking some instances and also DW when soloing. I have a 2 handed weapon that I use when soloing. I have witchfury to use at 39 http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=13051. I just really like my warrior and have decided to play him more. I always though tanking was the way to go in defensive stance and all that. Or is that more for end game? I started in fury is why there is 10points there and just changed to prot. I solo quite a bit. I only have like 11g right now so money is an issue. What pieces of armor should I upgrade right now. I am a level 37 now and got some better boots already as a drop.

Sorry guys im a noob to this game.

Would this be a better build for some tanking and mostly soloing?

Tanking the lower level dungeons does not require a PROT build. If you know how to play the class a shield and Def. stance should be enough for the lower level instances. Keep the points in fury or Arms..

It's not bad. I'd look at getting 2/2 on Impale shortly. I'll let the Arms Warriors field this one, I really don't like that chain much... but that's just me (DW Fury was my favorite so far). Just look at what you're striving for down that chain tho... Mortal Strikes... *keeping it friendly* 50% off mob healing... Ok I'm done, case closed... before I get really flamed lol

guys you are helping me a lot. I do want to roll as a tank later in the game. So for now i look into DPS. Would someone post a build that would be good for soloing as well as 3 man groups were I would need to tank for a pally and a lock.

This is what Scolariman was talking about. Pre-Outland areas (lower than lv58ish), you can tank anything they throw at you just fine as Arms or Fury. Protect makes the job easier, but not really needed until much later.

Just keep your shield up to date, and stack the Stamina/Strength gear, you'll be fine. Don't worry about Protect until you walk thru the portal in the Blasted Lands. Until then stay Arms or Fury w/e you decide.

I tanked just fine until Underbog (Outland instance), then the were just hitting me to hard, and the melee was just taking aggro off me to easy, so I changed to Protect... then back to fury to quest.. now finally back to Protect :/
