Just curious what spec everyone will be taking by the end of today.

Post your new builds, and tell us how you will be using them (PVE, PVP).

I plan on staying Mutilate, but may reconsider AR/Prep at some point.

Kudos. I thought I was the only one staying 41/20. I'll probably give hemo a try here in the next couple of weeks though.

Ar/Prep, no doubt.

The problem is, I'm not too sure what to do with my filler talents.

Right now I'm thinking this: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZhbEzbVt0M0RZxrfohhRob

Nerves of Steel seem better then 4% more atk, especially with the Fear Ward nerf.

This is for pvp, I'll respec for pve.

Yeah Tyr, I'd keep NoS. Mageoken and I were talkin' about that in vent last night. I think he wanted to put points into malice though. lol

Raiding hybrid hemo build 11/21/29 or raiding shadowstep hemo11/9/42.

Raiding hemo is about 5% better dps(according to the latest spreadsheet)than combat fist/sword, shdwstep is about 1% less dps(close enough to test for fun) than standard combat.

Muti still, until I get some maces, then AR Prep.
And God damn it's tempting to buy the OH first.

And Tyr, you'd really take 4% AP over 90 second blinds for PvP?

I know I called someone a nubsauce for choosing elusiveness in another thread but I was being dumb.

Good point.

We'll have to see I guess, I still kinda used to Blind being nothing more then a move that force the pld/shaman/druid to use 1 GCD to remove it.

4% atk isn't much either tho.

First of all...shame on you for using the old calculator.

Secondly, it should be more along the lines of http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboZhfV0bVzLMZxMjoMhMo

Of course Nooble and RP made the arguement about the 2nd point in WE, if it would be more beneficial instead to put it in to make 5/5 sword spec instead.

Edited for clarity.

As an avid BG'er I'm going to be 41/3/17 or something very similar.

I was 41/20 but I really miss Dirty Tricks and the 75% chance to get 3 points on my Cheap Shots.

Will really enjoy the new Fleet Footed. :)

I'm really looking forward to trying out AR/Prep/Hemo but need some decent weapons. Only have epic daggers atm.

While I am not 70 quite yet (lol) I read over the various posts and such and in order to conserve gold decided to level in the build I want to end with. So on that note, I finally decided to go with an 8/12/41 build. I was actually really torn between Imp. Evis and Imp. SnD, but in the end decided on Imp. Evis. Basically its a SS/Hemo build. It might not post the highest numbers but it'll be fun to play (I like the subtlety tree) and to me that's far more important.

I like the low sub talents too for my 2v2 team. I won't try to talk you out of 41/3/17, but I will say that 41/0/20 (serrated blades) does make a pretty big difference in DPS, especially considering you're already gimping yourself by not taking Duel Wield.

Just something to consider.

Mutilate for at least one more week.

Then when Season 3 hits, I have a choice of buying the Dagger set and staying Muti or buying the sword set and going Combat/Assassination for the first time in 30 levels.

17/44 still. I'm not nearly at the level of gear needed to make Hemo work yet, and I'm only two weeks away from my S2 mainhand.

Actually, for an Arena build, it might be better to move the points in Deadliness over to Heightened Senses. 4% chance to completely mitigate spells and ranged attacks is probably just as useful (if similarly unreliable) as Nerves of Steel.

Not really no.

Stuns and Fear are too single most powerful effect in the game. A single stun or fear resist can make or break some games. And well, 10% is also a lot more then 4%.

All the other talents does (in the big picture) is lower damage from ranged attack/spell by 4%. The stealth detection is nice... but it's no nerve of steel.

After playing on PTR last night, I ended up Shadowstep. 18/2/41... more for fun than PvE DPS or Arena. Going to be seriously grinding the BGs so.. yeah. After playing in some today, it really seems like there's a lot of no-res scrubs in there all of a sudden.

Been enjoying the 2k hemo crits :)

Being able to use Shadowstep out of Stealth would be a gigantic benefit... but the resilience of many opponents would still kill the outcome, wouldn't it?

OT: And the new Deadly Throw update (higher missile speed and snare duration increased slightly) is definitely a big plus too.
