61 Paladin Tank LF adviceFollow

ATM I'm a 61 paladin tank, and with the new prot talents I'm thinking about respeccing and was wondering if anticipation is even needed pre-70. I'm only doing 5mans atm, and I don't have much +defense gear so I was wondering if I should just ditch anticipation for the new +10 stamina talent. I know it helps with anti crushing(which I'm not sure what it means) but I don't have any +defense gear atm so i figure no point in getting anticipation until 70. Any advice would be great on this subject. Also should I be looking for +defense gear over +spelldmg gear or maybe have both sets? and when is +defense better?

This is my current build, and I'm thinking of removing anticipation for Combat expertise.

Anticipation is MOST needed pre 70. Thats +20 defense skill.

20 Defense skill = +.8% Miss, Dodge, Parry, and Block.

.8% * 4 = 3.2% avoidance.

Anticipation effectively lowers the required defense skill to get 'uncittable'. That means your gear only has to get you to 470 (not including the 20 from Anticipation). You still need to get to 490 overall but that saves you about 56 defense rating @70.

Honestly, I didn't use any spell damage gear until I after I hit 70. By that point I was already uncrittable, and nearly uncrushable. If you don't under stand what that is, go figure it out. Ill point you in the right direction. Read all of these from top to bottem.

Uncrittable info:
Defense

Uncrushable info:
Crushing Blows
Attack table

Right now, you should be gearing to lower you incomming damage. Get lots of +defense stuff, and get your butt as high as possible.
