Equipment ?s (spec is Enhance)Follow

#1 Nov 12 2007 at 11:41 PM Rating: Sub-Default
Alright i've never been very good with any equipment, all of my talent lies in the talents and abilities combos (for example dual-wielding with windfury on both or windfury on first then frost on second for runners), and since no one wants to offer mature answers to questions in-game it's time to ask you guys/girls on here. I'm an Enhancement specced Draenei shaman, i don't know how to do a quick link so just look up Zeranzo and it'll show you my equipment. I should be the only zeranzo so no worries on what realm or server or w/e. ANY help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Um... I'm sorry but what exactly is the question here... no offense but your post just kinda rambles and doesn't tell us anything. Try to ask your question clearly, and I'll help as best I can.

edit: The only thing I can kinda pull out of there is a vague weapon buff question. To answer it, 2 slow weapons (2.4 or slower) with WF on both is undisputably the highest DPS combo available.

Well my first suggestion is that if you want serious answers, you have to ask others properly. Typing run on sentences makes it harder for other people to read and they have to start guessing what you're trying to say.

So as that has been said lets get to business then. First off start looking to replace any of your gear that is still in the leather stage. Since you're 41 now you should be wearing primarily mail gear.

Some people would say it is fine to wear leather as a enhancement shaman. This is true, only if you're partying where you don't have to worry about taking damage or not. So upgrade those pieces first.

Next off, your weapons are a no no for enhancement shamans. Like SunSoarer said, you want 2.4 speed weapons or slower. So look to replace those with the right speed/level.

As for your talents. Why would you not take Thundering Strikes if you're enhancement? Since you're enhancement, you would want to increase your crit% as much as possible (to a certain extent).

So take 5 points into Thundering Strikes and get Flurry from it afterwards. 3 points might be enough for Flurry but I like to go the full 5.

Shield Specialization is fine. Guardian Totems is a personal preference, but I wouldn't take it if I were still leveling shaman. Ghost Wolf is fine. Anticipation and Toughness is fine for a leveling shaman, probably not needed for an end game raiding shaman.

Getting Stormstrike, Dual Wield, and Dual Wield Specialization is a must for an leveling enhancement shaman. Some people don't like to take Unleased Rage and Shamanistic Rage while leveling, personal preference. After you're done with enhancement, go into restro. Once you get to 60+ feel free to respec to whatever spec you want in order to remove the unnecessary talents you spent for leveling.

That's it for now. If you have any further questions make sure you state them clearly, which will allow others to read easily. If you do this you will get a much better response from others. I know this is not english class, but it is english. If you're going to do something, do it right.

I know you are new around here but a tip for the future:

Try to refrain from insulting me in replies children.

That probably wasnt the best way to try to get a positive response out of most people on the boards. Respect has to be given in order to recieve it. Just try to keep things positive and you will find that most people here are not only very knowledgable but also very willing to help.
#6REDACTED, Posted: Nov 14 2007 at 1:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well at least it'll draw some form of replies from people that read it, this way i'll know if anyone is reading or not.

I didn't, I simply stated (fairly politely I thought) that I was having trouble figuring out exactly what your question was. After this petty little response you can just GFY.

Yes sounding very mature by calling other people children. Now thats the way a child should respond.

People try to help you, politely, and you call other people children. I am very sure I didn't insult you or even flame you for your hard to read/understand paragraph.

I replied maturely but received a childish reply. Please refrain from calling other people children when you in turn sound like one when you speak/type.

This forum isn't an english class, but if most people have to read that paragraph 3 times and in the end assume what you are trying to ask, that is beyond acceptable.

Like I said before. If you want "mature" responses, you have to first ask in a mature fashion. A mature fashion is stating clearly what you want to know and asking and replying in a respectful manner. Which you sir have failed in doing so.

I hope you keep this in mind for the future. If you don't, expect to be flamed. If that happens I hope you don't irrationally complain about it.

Correcting people in long drawn out paragraphs is generally not a nice way to respond to simple confusion over a certain topic. Try to simply say, "Hey I didn't understand what you said, you mind saying it again?" or something along the lines of that.

If it is not an enlgish class then how come this was your response?

Other than that, Ryugan, I didn't have a problem with your post. It just got annoying considering I have been to three forums asking for help and all I've received in response are petty insults and misleading advice.

Also, one of you is a child because you replied with GFY, very nice job in confirming my assumption that a child would come in here and immediately insult me at the first chance given. Responses like yours are the reason why forums are my last resort of advice.

Edit:
In regard to my talent tree, look at it again, due to the newest patch I was able to completely reconfigure my talent tree.

My weapons, they're just fillers really. Basically something that looks cool and helps me get down the timing for dual-wielding, which btw is my prefered weapon array.

No, I told you I didn't understand your post and if you tried asking your question more clearly I would do my best to help. I further attempted to answer the part of your post I could understand. You responded by insulting me, not the other way around.

When someone insults me for trying to help them GFY is really the only thing to say. Smiley: nod

Wow I wonder how many times do I have to say this. I said yes this forum isn't an english class. So grammar, spelling, ect. isn't the thing that is going to get you flamed or corrected. Unless some people are nick picky.

I said that because:

Quote:

Oh and btw, I did not correct you in a long drawn out paragraph. If you actually took the time and read carefully, like how I did with your first post, then you would see I only "corrected" you in 2 very short paragraphs.

Also at the end I did say for future reference, to make sure you state your question clearly so you'll get proper answers.

If you treat someone with no respect expect to get the same attitude back. Don't expect someone to be all smiling while they were treated in a bad way. Saying someone said GYF doesn't prove your point, especially if you provoked them into displaying that particular attitude.

I understand it can get annoying trying to get answers for the same question you post multiple times. The thing with this is that you shouldn't take out your annoyance on others. If you had ask this question multiple times and still didn't receive a decent answer, you should think about what the problem is. Without properly correcting yourself and/or others, calling people childish isn't the way to go.

This is the last time I'm going to respond to this thread. Take my advice or not, it's up to you. So if you post anything more responding to what I have said multiple times, well I wont be reading it. I have spent my time to attempt to answer your questions, and all I have gotten is an annoyed sounding response. I have thus lost interest in this thread and the topics concerning it.
#12REDACTED, Posted: Nov 15 2007 at 12:06 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You know what, just answer the simple inquiry that I attempted to clarify. I apologize for whatever I did to **** you people off, whether it was breathing or insulting someone. Just answer the question and be on your way.

Hi, i think regarding to weapons first reply seems accurate from what i've read from the numbercrunchers :P

Quote:

On the rest of the gear, I'd agree try to get mostly mail items, supposedly with str/AP/agi on it is what i do anyway on lvl 48.

Not alot of +crit and all that available until later from what I've seen.

Hope this help, sorry I cannot give specific Item hints atm, but the weapons Ripsaw and Hand of something in ZF makes perfect WF sense in delay and such.

(going to go ahead and guess you're around 40+ since Armory is freezing my IE 7 in Vista atm)
