Speaking purely from a PvE position I wonder how much the armor ignoring stats on all this new gear will impact our play vs the old stats it seems to replace like + to hit and crit.
I'm not sure I can really get behind this but perhaps some math would help. The haste on the other hand seems to be a really good thing even with the tweak that it took recently.
Anyone got any math to share to help us prioritize our new goodies when ZA comes out in the morning?

hopefully with all the downtime today some number crunchers chime in on this. alot of us will be hitting ZA tonight and trying to decide what to replace as gear starts dropping.
while i did not crunch any numbers, I very much enjoy the armor ignoring effects of some gear right now. Heck i am even holding off on equipping some of my epic gear because i love the 4 piece bonus from the beast lord set so much (when you use kill command your attacks ignore 600 or your oponents armor for 20 seconds)
I will probably only swap out the pieces of it when i have 3 or more epic items to replace my beast lord set.. although it will depend entirely on what kind of game content im doing at the time..because the 2 piece set bonus for beast lord set is awesome aswell.

Rule of thumb is that 100 Armor Penetration is equal to .75% damage to every attack in raiding situations. Because of Mortal Shots (i.e. Crits hit for 230% damage), this means that 100 Armor Penetration is about equal to 17 Crit Rating. The values skew slightly if you aren't hit capped, but... you should be hit capped. The values also lean more towards crit rating in situations where the bosses armor is unusually high (Void Reaver - nearly every other boss has either 6600 or 7700 armor) or you don't get full armor debuffs, as the lower the target's armor value the great impact you'll see out of Armor Penetration.
