1 Vote for hell yes. I need to read that when I get back from lunch, since I hit 70 over the weekend I need to look up my prospective new gear to get raid ready.

So uh...if we have people responding "should be polished, then yes" could you please elaborate on how it could be polished?

One cool thing to do with it has already been suggested in the thread. That would be to turn the links into the WoW links or whatever they're called to show the item information on hover, instead of having to click on the links.

I'd love to do that, but since i dont have premum i cant...
(i'm seriously considering it for the WotLK version of the list though)

So for now, to bad

and oh joy for having to make a new one when WotLK is released.....

edit: there's 4 people who voted "should be polished" I really want to know what you think should be polished because if i can improve it i will.

I don't wanna work up Aethien's ego, but I have directed so many hunters to this post I should be collecting some kind of fee. Smiley: lol

One of the thoughts I had for polishing would be to remove all of the extraneous comments from the post, leaving that good chewy center of valuable information.

I am also noticing a distinct lack of any of the Admins from Alla's responding to it.

Even though I voted hell yes, I thought of something that might improve it a tad, though not necessary it would make it that much easier to compare stats of the items.

Since the thread gives a location of each drop or relative quest area, instead of linking the page of the item, there is a way to make put the item in the thread so when you scroll over it, it shows the items itself.

So rather than having to go to each individual items page, you could simply scroll over the items to compare stats.

Now as far as how it is done, I don't know, I've seen it done before, I've tried some combinations, but nothing works, I do know it has to do with the item number on Alla, but that's all I know.

Honestly, can't remember how it's done. Did get a function working on the guildforum where we just use [item] tags and put the name of the item in between. Doesn't work here though.

Voted "hell yea" due to the immense usefulness of the post. I know it helped me once I hit 70 and started looking for a decent guild to raid with. [not that I've found one yet in 3 months :(] I have done some kara pugs though and get complimented often on my gear choices. Also, I've pointed other hunters to the thread when asked general questions about becoming geared up for raids.

they don't like to sticky that many threads, it would be better to just get mulgrin to link to it.

I already have linked it from two places in the FAQ thread.

But I believe there is a limit of 3 stickies per forum. So we still have one sticky place free and the Pre Raid Gear List is a excellent candidate for this :-)

It is now stickied!

And as for your "3 stickies per forum"

Check out the WoW Main...

Or maybe the Site and Forum feedback...

In "The Stickied Sticky FAQ- Read first if you need a sticky" Dread Lord Kaolian wrote:
So you want a sticky for your corner of the forum. What now?

1. First, check your forum and see how many existing sticky threads you have. If it is more than 2 existing stickies, your chances of getting a sticky are signifigantly decreased.

2. If there are three stickies already, and you just have to have An_uber_thread_04 stickied, compile some of them, or add your thread to the existign ones. To compile two stickies, take the relevent sticky info from two stickied threads, put it together in a new post, and include the links to the origional threads, and credit to the origional posters. Then post the link here for review and stickying and de-stickying of the origionals. Compilation threads will almost always be stickied, no questions asked. be sure to let us know it is a compilation though.

I knew, I had read it somewhere.

But yay for the sticky flag on this nice thread.

On a sidenote the WoW main forum has currently 4 stickies. But if I remember correctly there has been a 5th one which recently get destickied because there already where so many.
