Ok, so i just hit 70 like the subject line says. I want to go out and get geared, i just dont know the best way to accomplish that.
Should i be going and farming honor in BG's, or should i be farming instances? I have been looking at that sword that drops from Mech, and i think that will be my next goal.

I haven't checked your armory, probably not needed.
Just basic answer: if you want to pvp, do BGs and arena and get geared there. No point wasting time in isntances since your ultimate pvp gear will come from the above-mentioned sources.
If you want to pve, complete all quests and do instances.
I personally finished most quests (except those that require a lot of grouping) and got some decent blue gear that served me well to start pvp. From there on, only BGs and arena and it's getting good (or will be with 2.3 where S1 items are purchasable through honor).

Do arena and BG's for PvP stuff (and weapons!), do instances and quests for PvE stuff.
Looking at your armory: I would advise to grind a lot of BG's to get those S1 Gladiator weapons. They're gonna be a HUGE upgrade. From 52 dps to 91 dps... You need "only" 27k honor points for both swords.
Meanwhile, start doing arena TODAY. I still regret starting to play arena only recently.
Do all the instances and pick up some quests, for example to get the Helm of the Claw (check this site or thotbott to find the quests). You will get some upgrades while doing them, some Assassination pieces for example.
Doing those quests and instances will also increase your reputation with factions, which will make some gear and enchants available.
If you have some money (which you should have at 70), consider buying the Fel Leather Set. Check the AH; they won't be very expensive and will serve you for a while.

Yeah definitely start farming honor points ASAP especially for the season 1 arena gear (imo i'm starting off with getting the swords and going on from there). If you wanna get the helm enchant, get revered with the Cenarion Expedition (i think) its +34atk power and +16 hit rating. And if you can, quest grind in shadowmoon valley to get the Stealther's Helmet of Second Site. And of course do the level 69/70 instances (Arc, Bot, Mech, Shattered Halls, Steam Vaults, Shadowlabs, and there are a few good items from BM as well) to get better gear from those.
