elemental off/spec healing FTW? :: Free Realms

I'm thinking of going resto until i can start to BG again at 70, so i was healing Ramps the other day and we didnt have any wipes, i find that my huge mana pool was a help as i relied mainly on straight healing and ancestral healing from my 15 points in resto, i was being praised as a main healer but i cant help but think how pwnt i would be if i was full resto but then i remember that main healing elemental was pretty good to

so do many people consider elemental a viable main healing spec?

and would resto REALLY improve me to maybe a great healer?

Elemental will do fine main healing for most of the standard 5 mans, as long as you have a decent set of healing gear. Resto just makes it so much easier (Earth Shield is just so ridiculously awesome). If you want to heal for heroics though you'll have trouble as Elemental, not saying it isn't possible but it will be work.

You can ofcourse spec more into a hybrid form (something like this would be my guess)
