I hit 69 and already begun kara attunements some time ago.

I have a basic idea of where i need to go. But just in case, could you fellows perform a complete and unforgiving critique of my profile? In terms of build, items/stats and reputation

Unleash hell, its all gonna help me. marshmellows and strawberries with cream will not.

Simon Cowell makes stars.

Kara effectivity is my objective. I aim for 140+ hit, ~1300 ap, and ~25% crit.

So ya, this is me picking up soap on demand in the prison showers

If you want to be more useful in Kara, I highly recommend you switch to combat daggers or swords. As far as anything else - you look like a normal level 69. As you gear up, remember that for PvE, +hit trumps all.

Just ignore Eon on this one. I'm 41/20, and I top meters in Kara(the only places you aren't going to shine are Curator and Illhoof, and the locks should be blowing everyone outta the water anyways).

As far as stats go, I had 1250 AP, 150 hit, and about 23% crit going into Kara.

Where to start. o.O

Pretty much all for you gear needs replacing, and in a bad way(maybe save your belt and Bladefist's Breadth).

Run BM till your eyes bleed for Unraveller's trinket, Handgrips of ***., and Latro's if it drops(you never know, and may respec combat/hemo one day).

Run SV about 7 more times, and get your Heroic key, then run Heroic Slave Pens to get either of the necks that drop(Traitor's Noose or Adamantite Chain of the Unbroken), the Midnight Legguards, the bracers off the first boss.

Run Slabs to get the dagger off of Murmur, and the Cloak of the Inciter off of the 2nd boss.

Run Arc to pick up your other dagger off of the last boss.

Go buy The Master's Treads. Pretty good pre-kara PvE boots(and I still use them for PVP till I pick up my bg epics.

In short...you need to get to work.

Sal, speccing combat is never bad advice for a PvE rogue. Two-words: Poison Immune.

combat swords or fists, and your golden

swords is better itemized, so go that route imo

hit is most important till at LEAST 200 hit rating

youll be fine though, just work on it

Combat is going to be the way to go, at least till you get good kara gear and Hemo opens up Tuesday.

Take a look at the Fel Leather set, if you can afford it, buy it.

Lol....on one boss? C'mon man. You show me a SS where a rogue did within 5% of a lock on curator, and I'll correct myself(actually, probably not, I'd just call him a crappy warlock).

Even on Curator, I still do within 1-2% of the combat rogue.

Rogues should be on the Flares until the evocate, and when the lock's Curse of Doom hits him for about 30k, a rogues not going to catch up with the CoD's and the lock's dots still going.

So no, anything up until SSC/TK I will disagree with you. Let him spec Muti now while he still can. Let's not forget, it's going to be hemo after next patch anyways. :P

Ok so this goes something like this

Shadow lybs first for dagger and cloak from final boss and 2nd boss.

Also first is bloack morass for trinket and gloves.

Ill be doing blades edge, shadowmoon and netherstorm while waiting for groups.

When i hit 70, ill do svaults and the above if the stuff hasnt dropped.

Buy the boots somewhere along the way.

Get a flyer along the way [before boots] and then go for arcatraz for 2nd dagger.

Get kara attunement done as well. Shadow labs, steamvaults and Black morass crosses paths for this [plus the elixer mastery quest] so i can get many things done at once there.

Spam steamvaults and then the heroics begin. for one of the 2 necks and the pants.

Sounds like 1 to 2 months of work.

your main goal with 2.3 is look at shadowpanther.net, there is a lot of gear you can get from badges now. LOTS. you can get badges from kara now and heroic keys start at honored. You could get all keys easy in a few nights grinding. badges should be high priority. because honestly, and I dont mean to sound rude at all. Its really late in the game to start Kara, most kara guilds on my server are dying or getting sucked into higher rated guilds for numbers. with ZA here, Kara should be a badge farm sesh for almost all guilds. I know I sound all high and mighty but its a reality, rogues can now gear up for post kara raids from badges and BGs!

oh and swords is honestly in my opinion one of the best pve routes to take. mutilate will not get you very far post Kara. VR, Hydros, and some others will make you moot. Also combat swords/hemo swords will out dps you equally geared. I was mutilate for a long time, switched to swords like 2 months ago. I can honestly say I will not be going back to daggers till wotlk if even then.

oh and honestly honestly honestly just figured I should say it a few more times.
