Nerf or bonusFollow

Heart of the Wild: This talent no longer provides 4/8/12/16/20% bonus Strength in Cat Form. Instead it provides 2/4/6/8/10% bonus attack power.

So did we get helped or screwed?

We got both.

Helped, because all that useless rogue gear we get stuck with will be a bit better for us.

Screwed, because the feral gears that Blizz actually bothered to include in the game, will be nerfed.

Helped, because we will now be able to use Strenght or Ap. ~ equally, with out a penalty on the raw AP items.

In other words, they "fixed" our talents to match the equips, instead of the equips to match our talents.

In almost all cases this will be a buff for us. Look at how much strength you have on your gear. I have 320 - so I will lose 64 AP. But I gain about 30 AP because my Agi AP is getting an extra 10%, then all the AP on my gear (heaps!) gets 10% as well (just Terestians FeralAP will get 65AP bonus - and thats before the buff to its FeralAP).

Over all, I think I should gain a couple of hundred AP with this patch :)

It's a nerf to gear built for ferals, and a buff to the gear we're stuck with at top endgame anyway.

EDIT: I need to read responses before replying.

I lose nearly 100 AP from the strength loss, but even then with over 2000 AP I'm getting back 200 or more. With the increase of feral AP across the board on weaponry, I'd say even if you stacked heavily on primarily feral gear you will probably end up with a buff.

ya, you would have to have a huge amount of str gear for this to be a nerf. Str will still get +10%, agi will get 10%, both feral and normal AP will get +10%.
Myself, I'm going to get an about an extra 150 AP from this change alone.

Str will still be a better choice, everything else being equal. Str is affected by BoK and raw AP isn't, so you'll still get more bang for your buck in str in a raid. Agi is a much better stat now though and you'll do best to stack as much of it as you can.

in a big raid, you're more than likely to see 2 or more paladins, so you'll be having king's and might anyways.

The main change this will make for us is to make Agi a little more powerful than Str on our gear. Currently, Str gives you 2.4 times more AP than Agi. After the patch it will give only 2x more AP (the crit from Agi remains the same) So agi starts looking even better.

To clarifty, agi before Patch 2.3 is better than str, point for point, for a feral druid over an equivalence line of AP/crit, which is just about anybody at 70. After 2.3 the dominance of agility is slightly greater.
