PvP gear for PvE play pre-raidFollow

I don't really know these things, that's why I'm asking.

I started PvP battleground today, and was really amazed at how easy it is to gain honor (some badges are harder, because the horde side is really a lot better than the alliance side on my server, but enough about that). Getting 8k honor and about 50x badges from different BGs in 4 hours started me thinking.

Is the PvP gear much worse than the best PvE gear pre-raid for a dps Warrior? And what if you are a tank? They seem like the ultimate cross-over to me at first glance, but I don't really know these things to be honest :/

What should be my priority for dps?

I'm thinking about respeccing as a tank, so I can do heroics as nobody seems to want a dps warrior for the heroic instances, then respec back. What should I be looking at first for tanking?

Any input would be nice :)
