well at this time i have a lvl 49 Orc Lock. destucto spec.
i shortend cast times. built crits and dmg bonuses. as much dmg as i can get out of that tree for the most part. i got some pretty good items 6-7 blues or so.
i havent actually tried the other specs and i realize thier great benefits, but i love being destucto, raining destruction and PHAT CRITS by the way is always fun. i guess cause my first toon was a rogue, so i love the burst dmg.
to the point though,
Hunters - for the most part they burn and die. i havent ever really had too much trouble with them. i actually fear their pet and seduse them. i get in real close and dot them real quick then fear, ShadowBolt, conflag, maybe shadowburn. easy enough.
Mages - can kill ya if yur not careful. i noticed real quick that some mages can shovel out the dmg. again, seduse comes in handy. i pretty much always come out on top. fear is good, but burst dmg i find completly devatsates a mage, works great..
Priests - Actually they are pretty annoying. my dots dont really work with that damn shield on, while they pick away at me. i try to keep them on a constant fear so they cant do anything at all. i hate them!!! so annoying. i will mostly come out on top, but i will be hurtin on mana and health. i use fear, shadowbolt quite often.
Warriors - can be a pain. for the most part a warrior just rushes up on me and beats me down. hard to get a fear off when they are slamming you in the face. especially holy mother of god, fury spec, and they dual wield, omg cant get a spell in edgewise. also hard because they have lots of health, on destucto lock if your not critin, your losin.. but if i get the jump on em its pretty tough for any melee class to overcome fear spamming ( good thing im Horde, no UD rogues to think about).
Rogues - depends on how they attack me. if i run up on em, they die. but catchin me off guard and stun locking me? well that is harsh man. sneakin up behing me and cheap shotin, and gougein, and kindney shotin...backstabbin. by far, it any class has been hard to deal with it is the rogue... period.
Shamans - can be tough, i just fight them with the idea in mind that they will use earthshock to cancell spellcast. ill start castin something i dont want so i can use shadow, to fear them. as long as i can overcome the initial earthshocking and casting, i will win.
Paladins - they die. they can stun me once but they dont put out the dmg. worse case scenario, they keep on healin till your mana is gone.
Warlocks - fightin other warlocks is easy. they all love their affliction and demons. but i out dps them and, banish their demons respectivaly. i noticed that i never really have trouble with other locks for the most part. i rock their world with massive unrelenting dmg.
Druids - can be tough, tough in all forms especially feral. resto is easier, but can still be tough. like the rogue they can sneak on you, tank and then heals themselves..... i still have a good chance, but im always well aware of a druids presence on the batlefield.
overall i can see the negatives of having a destructo lock, but its fun and i like that. i love being able to put out so much dmg! HUGE CRITS btw.. instant casts all over the place. immolate rocks. but yea, i think a destructo lock is alot more like being a mage, but with fear AND dots AND a pet.
