Hello
I am a 70 Lock that is my alt (my main is a resto drood) He plays mainly PVE but does like to have a bit of punch for PVP. I have been Affliction for a long time as I was using this to do my grinding. I have been picking up odds and ends that according to Armoury are upgrades but I have noticed that My DPS has gone down all other stats have gone up. I am going for the shadow robe and boots next but apart from that that will prolly be my gear in a week or 2.

Here he is http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=The+Maelstrom&n=Nedytrid

Should I look at going Destro with this gear or with the last 2 parts of my tailoring set will affliction still be his strength. It does not really matter what build I am I have played all and after the initial learning like all the various builds I just seem to be upgrading gear as it says in Armoury but going away from my original DPS (apart from shadow which fully buffed is close to the 1K)

Any advice greatfully recieved

Are you talking Dps in Raids/instances?

I wouldnt consider your gear to be destro really. Need alot of crit. (20%+)

Have you changed your spell rotation any? Spell rotation can greatly affect dps.

FSW set will of course up your dmg some.

Remember on trash in instances, your CoA doesnt usually run full duration, most of the time its better to use Curse of Shadows, UA and Corruption, and spam shadow bolts.

Dunno if this helps or not.

your +spellhit and your spellcrit is really low for going destruction.
As i see it you are going karazhan. You should hope for the Attumen-Gloves and a different necklace there a 3 different really really great necks dropping in kara, once from moroes one from the prince and one is a random drop.
Both imp.HoT and CoE are mainly PvP skills, maybe you want to put at least 2 more points into Surpression for even better spellhit, this is where you lose loads of DPS. My advice would be to take 3 points from fel intellect and put two of those points into you imp.Imp. Put the point left into Surpression and take the point from CoE and put it into Supression as well.

Hello

When I say DPS not so much my over all DPS in raids more my stats Spell Damage. The reason i have gone for COE is for PVP and also to help me out with CC in instances, fear them away if it is clear knock on COE so when fear breaks have more time to put fear on. I like him to be jack of all trades and master of none in some ways. I just seemed the gear upgrades were steering me away from affliction but yes reading all the other posts he would have to go a way to be anywhere near a Destro lock. with his HP though maybe looking at some more in the demon build.
