Teleport: MoongladeFollow

I had just turned in a massive chunk of my quest log to the respective NPCs and I was dismayed that I ended up only 2000 experience away from level 54.... I was reluctant to fly all the way to one of the places I could actually level. Then, while thinking about my level 54 skills I remembered the handy Teleport: Moonglade. I also recalled the monsters of Feralas were around the 50s from watching my cousin level. So, I casted my invaluable spell and arrived in the druid haven. Then, I snuck through the Furbolg cave in the south, unwilling to anger the inhabitants, accepted a quest from one kind Furbolg waiting at the aperture, and finally boosted my experience bar the 2000 experience points I needed to level. Demonstrating its worth once again, I teleported back to Moonglade and learned my skills. I never anticipated Teleport: Moonglade could be so useful!

Heck yeah, it's definitely an underestimated spell. Also can act as a second hearthstone of some kind.

Many times I've set my hearth to Undercity and kept T:MG next to my hearth on my action bar. Quite handy. :)

Yes, indeed - love the Moonglade teleport too :)

So handy to use it to teleport as it doesn't have a major cooldown to worry about and saves my Hearthstone and then i can fly to many places from TB (having orgrimmar a few more minutes away is handy) - and i get to keep my HS to more out-of-the-way places.

Also, with it having a small town ,druid trainer and herbalist there too it's even better :D

Great.. great skill indeed ! /hugs

I believe that for a <50lvl Tauren dr00d, T:M is somewhat meh as a means of transportation, because it kicks you to the far end of the map where there's nothing for you to do and where there are no other means of transportation, except the lengthy flight to TB. And for more, TB is a somewhat secluded capital. No zeppelins or whatever, just another couple of minutes' flight to ratch or orgri.
At above 50 it becomes more respectable, giving you quick and free access to Felwood, Winterspring and a short flight to the horde town in Felwood which is only a feline-grace-insured jump away from Darkshore, teh home of da night elf noobs rdy 4 bein powned mwahaha.

Now seriously it is nowhere near Mage's teleports/portals or even shaman's astral recall as a means of getting somewhere else fast when your HS is on cd. It's good to get to a trainer quickly though.

The case is a lot different for night elves. For them, there is a far shorter flight to Darnassus (not sure if they can take the flight straight to auberdine from their hippy master in moonglade, never played a night elf ;d) from where you have a boat to auberdine (or a shorty flight) and the boats from there can get you to the best transportation hubs on both continents: Theramore and menethil.

So for elves moonglade is a good place to start a trip to anywhere from. For tauren... teleporting to moonglade below level 4x is a lame excuse for finding time for dinner (that's how long it takes to fly to TB).
Well, maybe a bit exaggerrated here... but still meh.

Actually, if you get the normal moonglade FP, it's a bit shorter flight, and is quick access to that whole continent. The flight path is easily missed though, as it's down in a corner right next to the furbolg cave.

Indeed, the idea is to get the normal FP to go back to Orgrimmar. I can't remember if you need another FP along the way to connect to Org but if you do you can always naked-suicide-run it for future uses.

Actually I did the exact same thing with my hearthstone until I got a guildie to port me to Shattrah City.

Thanks for notifying me about this; I need to get the normal FP so I can go to other places; I was always annoyed I had to take the long flight to Thunder Bluff to get anywhere.

The flight to TB is 6:40. The flight to Orgrimmar is almost 9 minutes.

Sorry I thought orgrimmar was closer.

After Darkshore I skipped Ashenvale and went on ahead to quest in Redridge, Wetlands and Duskwood. Every two levels it's way nicer to T:MG and take the flight to RV to train than to get to Menethil and boat to Auberdine and get to Darn from there. I've been assuming this whole time that there isn't a druid trainer in either SW or IF. If there is, I'm truly an idiot.

Don't worry about feeling like a druidiot, it seems like lots of us 70's are just now learning that there's a druid trainer right there in Nighthaven/Moonglade--he's at 52,40, a ridiculously short jog from where Teleport:Moonglade drops you.

And there's a d'oh!-why-didn't-I-find-that-seventy-levels-ago take-ya-anywhere Alliance FP in Moonglade, too...directly south of Nighthaven, on the other side of the lake, at 48,67. The Horde one is in the southwest corner of the zone, right by the cave entrance, to the right side of the road.

In general, I used T:MG a LOT while leveling. I was mostly hearthed in IF for quick/central access to the eastern continent, and T:MG for easy access to Kalimdor. No ferry rides for THIS feral furball. : )
