Lock love (from a warrior)Follow

My adventure into heroic mech yesterday proved to be one of the easiest Badge of Justices yet. And the kicker was, we four-manned it. The party make-up was: prot warrior (myself), resto Shammy, and two warlocks. We couldn't find a fifth DPS, so (at the urging of one of the locks) we try to see how far we can get with just the four of us.

The first few pulls proved to be the most difficult part of the instance, but once we made it to the first boss, we were on easy street. I was pushing around 750-800 on the threat meter and both locks seemed like they were holding back just to keep from pulling aggro. I do not know the mechanics on how to convert your DOT's into threat but both knew exactly when to pour it on and when to hold back. With two locks enslaving, banishing, and chain fearing (upstairs), it proved to be a very fun run. All four of the boss fights were a slow grind, but the Shammy kept us all alive. It was almost a full clear of the place (we skipped Sepethrea). Good times.

Locks rock

much love

I love running with a second lock. If we both work together, it can be quite a force.....

I've always wondered whqat it'd be like to run an instance with 4 locks, 2 Demo, 1 afflic and 1 destruct, along with a shadow priest......OMG.

The squishyness of the group would get dominated. The felguards would get destroyed the second you ran into a boss or a mob that could hit decently hard.

Locks rule, but it sounds like you just had some real compitence in your group... something much more rare than just finding a Lock.

Sounds like you had fun, fact of the matter is that WOW is somewhat of a joke compaired to some MMOs (including old ones like UO and EQ) and that most of the runs done with 5 can be done with 3 or 4.

Good to see some skilled players out there, though.
