There is no best race for the long run, Blood elves have the silenceing and mana things, Warlock doesnt really need them when they get their felhunter and life tap! Im a orc warlock, just because I like the way they look, and BC wasnt out then, Go with what you want, not with what people tell you to be!

My main is a human lock but I have leveled all lock-eligible classes to at least 15. The only real difference is the racials. For arena I would lean more towards Orc only b/c they have +5 dmg from pets. Now if you plan on doing both it really comes down to what you want to look at for 70+ levels. And all locks can fear.

If your gonna be PvPing, I'd probably pick Undead. Will of the Forsaken is extremely useful in PvP. However, pick what you enjoy the most. I think the Orcs get a bonus to thier pet's damage? That's probably useful. The silence and mana steal the BE get could probably be really nice in PvP too though.

If your specific goal is to rock in bg/pvp/arena, go BE or Undead. That said, Orc's resist to stun is a close second. It's generally useful (you never know when it will help you - you often don't even notice it when it helps you). The other two racials: you can control. (and the orc's +5% to pet does help - it does add up - but it's probably not as "huge" in terms of "turning a fight" - as the undead and BE racials really can be).

Undead - having TWO ways to click out of fear (and several other nasty effects) is quite powerful in pvp/bg/arena.

BE - being able to area silence is very nice. It can save you from a mage. It can stop a Pal or other healer from saving himself or a friend - can keep you from having to kill something "twice." Used w/ Felhunter, this gives you two silences. The only problem is that it's pretty short range, but this is offset by being an area effect.

Orc, for a demonlock mostly doing pve, or mostly concerned about leveling up, might be best choice.

In the long run, all races work. Go with what makes you happiest.

Go Female BElf lock!

If you're going to be lookingat that toons behind the entire time you're playing, would you rather it be big and green, or slim and normal?

Anyone mention Blood Fury? 100+ Spell Damage at level 70... Like popping 2 trinkets at once, honestly if you are raiding there is no other choice but orc! imo

Orcs are made of win. Period.

I would choose Orc over BE for everything but looks. 15% stun resist is huge, add a meta socket with 5% stun resist that puts you at 20% so you're resisting 1 in 5 stuns. Huge. And blood fury, a 140 spell damage 'trinket' at 70.

The main way I die in PVP is being stunned heavily while under focus fire. Mace stuns, kidney shot, intercept, I'd love to resist 20% of them instead of 5% with my meta gem.

And for raiding, assuming equal gear the orcs get a free damage trinket. I believe orc warlocks and orc rogues have the highest raid dps potential in the game.

Troll rogues have the highest dps in the end because of berserk + Slice and Dice.

Orcs are the best Warlock because of the free Trinket which raise your magic attack by 143 for 15 seconds every 2 minutes. The 5% more dmg from pets are nice, but only if you spec demo.

In the end, that helps you a lot in the pve end game, but after you have some great gear, the difference will not going to be huge as people think it is. But for pvp, BE < all, that ridiculous AoE silence just helps against Ret pallys and some ridiculous rogues / feral druids that become stealth and stay next to you (the Silence can reveal them).

Orc stun resist is very nice against Rogues. As a 70 Rogue, I know that if I go in with my Cheap shot and Kidney shot combos, there's a good chance it's going to be a tough fight due to the stun resist, whereas any other Warlock is usually stun fodder until he's dead.

I dunno it only lasts 10 seconds and is +10% haste at full health, to a max of 30% haste when 'badly hurt'.

I'm sure they're both close, orc vs. troll but I think orc is better for PVE, it comes down to average 20% haste for 10 seconds or 280 attack power for 15 seconds.

IMO...

Orcs make the BEST Warlocks.

Trolls make the BEST Hunters.

Undead make the BEST Rogues and Mages.

Taurens make the BEST Warriors.

Blood Elf racials suck. I have a 70 Blood Elf Mage and their racials blow end game.
