Druid forms...Follow

#1 Nov 08 2007 at 5:47 AM Rating: Decent
This Druid has started thinking and it occurs to me, as I run around checking out hunters and all their nice pets, that I change into animals… like 4 kinds…and I get a little irritated. Why is it that they can tame nearly every animal, but I can’t learn to become nearly every animal? Just a thought...

Maybe its a little harder to BECOME an animal, than to simply train it ;)

Then again, there are 7 animal forms that the druid can take but the hunter can't tame...

"Fishies"? Did you say "fishies"?? I sir, am not a "fishie," I am an aquatic mammal, genus Zalophus, species Aerothii, a.k.a. the Azeroth Sea Lion!

"Fishie," indeed! /hmph

Oh face it, it's a sea slug with a mustache. It's disgusting.

Handy for fishing though.

Last I checked they couldnt tame Moonkins or Trees either. Well technically a tree isnt an animal, but you get the idea.

Well Necare gave you the casual answer.

The technical answer would be that Blizzard would have to make each one of those animals have special abilities to make them unique. Otherwise they would be a nuisance and make the druid class a little messy.

I want to see a hunter tame a horned cat one day.

"Sorry guys, my stupid cat keeps messing up its mangle->shred->rip rotation...Maybe I need to toggle the autocasts, or do it manually."

Unrelated side note: My roommate and I used to do this for fun in lowbie instances. It was kind of funny that some new people to the game actually thought I was his pet...

Reminds me of myself raiding, I tend to stay in catform all the time (unless OT, battlerezz, or any other action that requires me to shift out of catform ;))and stay close to some ppl, and do /say Meow... and such stuff ^^ quite fun :)

It wouldn't be quite so bad if when you shift into the default view wasn't a close-up of its butt.
