Pickpocket Macro Issues?Follow

#1 Nov 07 2007 at 6:18 PM Rating: Decent
I am wondering if there is some kind of issue with the macro for pickpocket/opener I have been using ever since I first discovered it here on this forum. Recently I noticed sometimes when I cast the macro, the loot window appears briefly showing some coin and a junkbox or odd n end items, yet only the coin loot shows up in my bag/chat screen. The extra loot is nowhere to be found nor does the loot message come up that I have received so and so.

Anyone know whats up with that?

Here is the macro sequence I use:
/cast Pick Pocket
/stopcasting
/cast Cheap Shot

Yes, I have auto loot enabled, and have used this macro for the longest time till a couple days ago. Could it be an issue with latency?

Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated.

I use that exact same macro and run into this from time to time. I see a loot window, maybe a junkbox or healing potion or something, but I don't recieve the items, theres no text saying you picked it up, its nowhere in your bags etc...

Overall the macro works pretty good, I get lots of free goodies, but I do notice what you noticed sometimes.

I had the same problem start recently too. It worked perfectly for about a month (i was 70 lvls late on the uptake)and now i get that same problem. Idk it seems to be working a bit more now. I try to wait a bit before hitting it again.

same here.

what i realised is that auto loot, loots things one at a time in order and not all that fast too. Then your power goes off before auto-loot can.. loot.. the 2nd or third object.

If your quick with your mouse, you can still get it. I have an addon which summons the loot table at my curser.

The macro is meant for times you cant be bothered with using pickpocket, or in instances where people get annoyed at you slowing things down by pickpocketing every humanoid in sight.

Recently I've seen another thread on this site about this issue.
If I remember correctly, most people thought it was caused by some kind of lag.

In my personal experience, at least 50% of my pickpockets (always done by macro) suffer from it.
