Or does Bloodthirst suck??? I mean for 30 rage it sucks imo. I have to hit the mob 5 times(at current rank) to get 100hp back,.....which I lose in one hit anyway. I think 30 rage can go into better moves, like 2 HS(since I d/w)Is it just me??? Am I using it wrong??

bloodthirst isnt a healing skill. the healing is secondary. bloodthirst is a damage skill, one that scales quite well with exceptional gear.

that may be your problem; you likely arent high enough level to have access to the exceptional gear that will make bloodthirst into the awesome skill that it is.

I like it =) Even as a DW Warrior the small amount of HP back per fight is better than zero hp back. Add on the magic mushroom I got from the zag...lolaolaoaloal tribe for 200 hp after a fight, and soloing goes faster for me.

Recommend it for a PURE DPS spec'd Warrior? Nah. Recommend it for a Warrior soloing quests, wrapping up any Outland quests he still needs to do? Yep!

Must be my crappy gear then. I'll give it some time. Thanks :D

Bloodthirst is actually a great DPS talent. With the gear that I have, i am hitting a little over 2k BT's. So yes, gear is an issue with that talent. Attack Power greatly affects it and apperently the more you have the harder you will hit. Don't worry about the 30hp per hit, sometimes you notice it, sometimes you don't. Just start stacking strength and crit and you'll be fine. Just keep your head up and keep on truckin.

I think its been said, that Bloodthirst is the one of the highest damage-rage conversions. And that it is also the ability that scales the best with attack power. So it only makes sense that with crap gear, you'd get crap numbers. At level 65-69 my bloodthirst was only hitting for 500-700. Critting for a little over (impale) double that much, obviously.

Raid buffed? 2k-2.3k, on a lucky day. Bloodthirst shines when you gear up, be patient. :]

Bloodthirst is an excellent skill at higher levels.
And a bit of synergy going on with it...
You need it to pick up rampage, and rampage adds an extra 112 or so damage per hit to it when it's stacked 5 times.
then add in Battle shout, even more damage with the attack.
And I believe I read somewhere that when you hit 2k attack power, it's actually more beneficial to use BT over MS for a 2h build due to the damage it puts out.

Having 2k-2.3k raid buffed? I have around 2.4k self buffed with Battle shout and Rampage. I normaly run with 2 palies in Kara and around 4 or so in HKM and Gruul's. If that's the case I buff my base stats by 10% and add an additional 225 AP and I'm normaly around 2.6k-2.8k AP. After the paly buffs and my self buffs I still have the enhancement shaman's buffs (the one where you get the 10% of his AP everytime he crits or something) and the strength totem, I normally have over 3kAP (I also have the BEAST elixir too) and thats when you start to see the 2k BT's with the 1h, but my 1h is the sux. I have the Vindicators Brand and I can't wait to get the Merciless Gladiator's Cleaver. I know its a little less hit, but the DPS is better and so is the top end...so my BT's should hit a little more than 2k-2.2k.

I'm just trying to show you the numbers you can get when you have gear, I'm not trying to showcase my gear although I finally got my fourth t4 piece from HKM last night..(been in there since march killing that guy), so i'm ecstatic about that. With all that said I still have around 33% to Crit, so you just have to balance out your AP, Crit and Hit.

I think 3k AP becomes the break point for 2h's and Blood Thirst btw. 2k AP is too easy to come by.
