Costs exactly the same friggin amount as the Veteran's gear, but doesn't waste any of the itemization on +heal (and is a higher iLv to boot).

Thanks for the heads up. I don't have a whole lot of honor but I had planned on doing more pvp to upgrade a few items for tanking Kara and ZA.
My guild managed to rebuild from some drama earlier this year, and with some good new folks and a few guild veterans we started on Kara four weeks ago and had the place fully cleared this past Monday. We have several people who are geared enough to start moving on but I am a bit behind them with only a couple epics.
The Heavy Clefthoof set really is great but I would like some options for crit reduction in other gear slots so I can up my threat per second without sacrificing crit immunity. This new stuff might be perfect.

I have 22k honor and 1250 Arena points saved up after hitting 70 awhile back. I was thinking about buying some stuff to improve my toon, but I wondered if I should just wait for the 2.3 patch.

Guildie of mine said yesterday that he got links on worldofraids that eventually pointed back to the O-boards where a blue said patch 2.3 was coming live on the 13th or 14th, forgot which. S3 should be starting on the 20th.
Or, at least, check the gear in advance. If you don't mind the or even prefer the stuff you can buy right now, go ahead. But it might pay off to wait a bit longer.
