Just a little while ago, a month or so. I was starting Khara in blues mixed with greens, this is how far I have come. Anyone have any suggestions on enchants or improvements. My guild atm is semi Casual and does joint raid on gruuls and we starting to try Void Reaver, well kinda. Got to void reaver ;p.

As for dps, I can't complain, in current progression bracket hunters dominate if played decently.

With this gear, should I assume that I am ready to tackle ZA for example or something else?

In our guild, we set stats at which we expect people to be at before they enter SSC or TKTE with us and earn full dkp. If you were in our guild, you would qualify :) So yes, with your gear as it is currently you should be fine in any T5 raids. As for ZA, we have downed the bear boss with the level of gear we have which is about on par or slightly better than yours depending on the person, so I would think you should be fine there as well at least for the first few bosses. I don't have personal experience on any other than the first two.

Of course, keep trying to upgrade where you can before your guild is ready to enter these places.

Being BM wouldn't AP gems be better than agi gems, or do I need to run out and go regemming? >_>

BM is all about AP, with at least a 20% crit rate. But once you hit that 20% crit rate, I would go pure AP gems, or if you really want to match the yellow gem slots, get the orange gems with crit rating and AP on them.

I just started raiding Kara about 2 weeks ago with my guild and have an unbuffed crit% of 21% and an AP of 1550.

AP helps us with everything, our shots, our pets growl, our pets AP....so the higher the better, but I wouldn't disregard the Agility gems as useless though, since they do add armor, crit%, dodge% and AP so... I have the +35 Agility on my Sonic Spear rather than the Savagery enchant for that very reason, more crit%, more dodge% more armor (which increases pets armor) and 35AP.

What are your requirements, Khalane? Not just for hunters, but I'd be interested in all classes/specs. My guild is seeing our first group of members hit 70 and we're starting to see the need to for such a guideline. I already use Aethien's list for our hunter gear, but lists I find on other forums seem woefully out of date. Also, they don't list skill targets.

Thing is about Agi vs AP that even for BM Hunter Agi appears to be the road to go as long as your AP is decent enough. According to cheeky on TKA, agi crit scales way better in raiding + it scales with kings. AP does help with pet but not as much as having more crit would benefit according to people on TKA even for BM, and having looked through their WWS logs, that appears to be true.

I've got some basic stuff to aim for for starting karazhan.

And at the OP, all i'd do is switch out (a lot) of gems.
Mostly all blue gems for +8Ap/2Mp5, all red for +16 AP and the yellow for +8Ap/4crit.
Because you can afford to lose a bunch of crit and hp for more attack power.

No actually I did have a lot of AP gems which I switched to mostly agi/crit. See my reply above yours as to why. I won't touch my Savagery enchant until maybe s3 Axe where I'll slap agi on it, but may still go with Savagery. We'll see.

Basically crit scales a lot better than ap in raiding, if your AP is up to certain point. In my case, since I mostly raid, where I get a lot of AP, crit is kinda important and when grinding or 5 mans either way is not really as relevant since when I am grinding, mobs go down really quick and even if I pull agro, which I do even with just steady/auto, by that time mob is dead. As for 5 mans, well I am not really worried about those since lately do not have time for them and when I do, I seem to perform just great.

as for mp5 gems, I am having no mana issues in my current gear, even if I do have to pot, its kind of rare and I almost never have need for using viper instead of hawk. This is Kara/gruuls. I do pull number #1 or 2 slot on wws usually just to show I am not laying off or anything, when it comes to using my abilities.
