Hello there, I personally dont play a priest but i have a question because my girlfriend does. so in the discipline tree you get a talent called meditation which allows you to regen 15% of your total mana ( thats with 3 points into it). does that mean if she has 8000 mana she can regen 1200 mana while casting? she only regens 125 mana per 5 seconds (acording to her spirit), but she doesnt have any spell that takes 5 seconds to cast. so does this make the talent useless to her?

You have a few things confused.
You get 15% of your mana regen from spirit, not 15% of your mana.
Base spirit regen is spirit/4+12.5 every 2 seconds, so that number times 2.5 every 5 seconds (what's listed on characters sheet). This amount (purely from spirit) does NOT regenerate for 5 seconds after a spell with a mana cost lands. What Meditiation does is allow 15% of that spirit regen to continue during that 5 seconds after a spell lands. And yes, it's a very powerful talent, especially next patch when it's doubled in value.
There's another stat that's referred to as mp5 or just plain mana regen, and that's listen on items as mana regenerated per 5 seconds.

And i'd just like to comment that as of the patch coming up, Meditation will do 10/20/30% mana regen instead of 5/10/15%.
All the math above, so I'll just say get this talent. Some fights you spend a great deal of time casting. Extra mana regenerated may mean the difference between the boss being down and a group wipe.
