OK, so some background...

Lvl 40 Troll Warrior, Sen'jin server, casual PvP-er, not in a guild, 99% of the time I solo, and the other 1% I PuG. My question is, since I just hit lvl 40, should I save my gold and buy a mount, or spend my money on Plate? I have 55g currently. Also, I already have the chest piece and helm from RFD. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Get the mount. It will make things a lot easier. I am curious which chest piece and helm you have from RFD. I ran throught he other day and I think got the helm you are referring to but I still need the chest piece for my fledgling 39 Warrior for when I hit 40.

You seem to have problems making money if you only have 55g at 40. Start some gathering professions and boost your income. Smiley: schooled

I started saving for my mount when I hit 30 and started buying plate pieces (and making them with Blacksmithing) around level 35 so I was all ready when I hit 40.

I think I would say go with the mount first as it makes things so much easier. You'll probably have to buy most of the plate as there aren't many good plate quest rewards. I think there is one quest that gives you plate boots in STV from Nessingwary's Camp, I think.

I farmed ore for a lot of my gold but I also got quite a bit from fishing up Oily Blackmouth off the coast of the Barrens (near Ratchet). If you can get your fishing high enough, the Stonescale Eels sell really well (around 1g each on my server).
